So, we (my brother and I) are ripped and have been debating foliar feeding with a moleasses, soda water, water mix. the debate being the plants will thrive from the co2 (carbonation) of the soda water. yes, no, or go the fuck to bed?

While a plant would normally thrive on any type of CO2 around the leaf, I would have to say that the molasses would coat the leave and hamper the stomata, thereby reducing or even stopping the uptake of CO2.

What about just a soda water misting all the time instead of using plain water? Could that make a noticeable difference?

maybe in the soil and not the leaves i think adrush has a point molasses is sticky stuff might also promote mold growth on your leaves i wouldnt do it folliar, maybe just the soda water on the leave but dont use tonic water that has other things in it

also the solubility of gas in water isnt very stable and gas leave liqiuds very easily unless it is cold as solubility of gas into liquid increases as temp decreases so spraying it is likely that you will lose the co2 in the water and will gain nothing
