There are defined standards they are manufactured by a company called Res tech. There are quite a few forms a company has to fill out before they can receive the standards.

that's the easy part. it's when nobody is watching them that you have to be careful.
we found labs taking all kinds of shortcuts or flat making shit up. this was on federal clean up sites. they lost their licences. then they just rearrange things and start up again under another name.
I know that why I had someone go in and watch them run my samples and showed him their standards and everything's else. It is a very easy test to inflate. Simply reporting the weight of the sample incorrectly can make the sample 5-10% off which is significantn

Maybe its not the sample... It maybe the testing method. Last I looked a GC burns up the THCa and THC and doesn't give the best, brag able, results... GC is not the best for cannabis testing since the measuring device uses heat to test product and cannabis is heat sensitive. Heat + cannabiniods = BAD
I have always thought GC testing is a waste of money for accurate cannabiniod count.

Thanks for your uneducated inexperience meanignless opinion. Gc testing has been used since the 60s to test soil and water samples for the EPA and can show extremely minute traces of anything. Yes the thca and thc show up as thc that's why when people want a more detailed test they use hplc. But I am sure your gut feeling is right here especially given your extensive education in the matter and your vast experience in testing. You must have had a lot of samples tested. What were your results?
