and on THE forum, there lurks immense wells of thought and experience. we should be using it to formulate a plan(business model) that prevents the man from exploitation. how do we keep this making money. how do we keep MERCK and BAYER(who has had previous experience with cannabis) out of the equation. how do we keep our big brother BARACK from taxing it to the moon when it becomes a LEGIT billion dollar industry. how do we turn michigan into the CHAMPAGNE of cannabis.

200 an oz is "too cheap" in MI? Thats 3200 a pound. Anyone who knows a couple people in the northeast can get some pretty damn good buds for 2800-3500 an LB. How can it be cheaper in an Illegal state lol. I know people need to make money, but its not like he was asking 50/oz. Maybe Im crazy, I dont know much about MI but that dosent seem like that unreasonable of a request
 
Giving your patients a discount or free meds is one thing, someone that I meet online can pay me 280. Unless I like you, then you can pay 200.00. Gottta factor in more than time labor and equip. I factor in gas money, rent, electricity, clones, seeds, security, and a little compensation for the risk factor. Risk of fire, robbery, or corrupt leo
 
I don't understand why someone would take on a patient if they don't have the capacity to handle their combined needs.

The reason people charge so much is because you are not their patient. The only people I know who get those kind of good prices have a direct patient-caregiver relationship.
 
actually he makes a good point, i went to his grow journal and was shocked he wouldnt be giving that stuff away, let alone thinking he could acually charge for it. so i had to make a comment but i didn't think it was overly rude.

and for the "compensation" for risk of fire etc.... laughable dude. unless your growing less then a qp a harvest 200 and ounce will cover the price of fire insurance douch. its called being a responsible adult. if you cant protect an investment you made on your own, then your an idiot. and as long as you are legal and he is legal then accepting a donation from a fellow grower or patient isnt a risk at all, and if he isnt legal and he drove out to where ever you had him meet you, then you send him on his way, and finish your grocery shopping. i would help if i could and i wouldnt take no 200 bucks. id do it just to help the guy out. (his sister technically)

This is the only way you get a deal on meds period, If your not a patient of the caregiver then expect to pay high dollar. This isnt unicef maybe one day when they get into the drug dealing business you will get cheap or free meds. BUT!! Alot of people out there understand there are sick people and others that have a sprained toe that what cheap oz to flip by selling grams. So why would anyone wanna help someone out like that. Someone just spent 3 months growing so you can profit off there grow? And just because your a caregiver dont give you the right to smoke. Someone told me in other states caregivers that arnt patients have to drop a piss test once a month.
 
If someone is in true need, I will do what I can(If I can!)....at cost. These are some hard economic times we're livin in. It's hard to find someone that can financially take the hit to help out someone in need. Especially after the initial setup cost, which is not unreasonable to try and recover.

Perhaps you are simply growing it to expensively?
 
when i grew mine, i sold the first 80 grams @ 15 a g. made my money back for supplies, paid for itself. this crop is only costing me about 10 bucks a month for elec, add maybe 40 for soil, so i figure once i break even again, i think 10 a gram isnt that bad. although i do charge extra for front. while im doing this thinkin im doin the right thing, then i find my private strains for sale 4 50 an 8th? they are buying from me cheap and flipping it. this is how our society works. everyone wants to get ahead.
 
$200 an ounce.. damn.. all the time and effort in my babies and how smooth and great they smoke never selling (if I did) that low for sure. 400 minimum.
