any recommendations on hps for....

want to try and throw an hps in my 4x2x5 space ..anyone have any suggestions????? i know i want at least 50 wt per sq. ft. but i may only use for flowering....maybe both ..i was thinking 400 or 600 but it seems like 600 may be too much??? also may find a deal on mh light?? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!!

cooltube 600w hps will be fine, i'll post a link to the best deals thread and you can find something you like. i'd get a switchable ballast that can use either mh or hps since then you can use it for veg w/the mh bulb and then switch to the hps bulb and switch to 12/12 when you want to flower

With your space, I would go with maximum a 400w HPS. I'm running a 400w HPS in a 2x2x3.9 tent and the maximum temperature my tent reaches is 86 degrees with a 465cfm exhaust fan and no intake/passive intake ports open. Edit: And yes with a cooltube you could run a 600w HPS. You can also just buy conversion bulbs. And I have a 4" air coolable reflector with ducting attached to only one side.

thanks for the info ... im trying to spend the least amount of money possible so i'm still undecided yet ...thinking about just going with the hps and using the cfl for veg maybe???
