Any smarties with taxes?

So i was filling out my state returns and i selected one school district im by 300$

Then i select the other school district im by at it dropped my return down to like 150$. Wth is this???

I ended up owing almost a thousand dollars.

dude, i did your taxes for you last year, do i have to do them for you again?

You pay certain taxes for different schools in the area. For instance, a community college by me charged $185 per credit hour for out-of-district, but $65 per credit hour for in-district. Reason being, the city has taxes set aside and it is considered "tuition" whether you go or not.
