Any tent fans that don't suck?

I like Lasko fans a lot, they are generally built more solid than Honeywell fans and are more expensive because of it, but I'm often cheap. I have a Lasko tower fan that I use for my house that I love.
 
I've had a small basic Air King clip fan for quite a while (a couple years) and its still going strong. Maybe I've just been lucky.

You must be keeping them properly defoliated. I'd worry a little about the moisture build up when leaves lay upon other leaves.

I'm all for anything quieter, simpler, & using less power & space.
 
I like the tower fan on its side idea, very clever.

I've been running 4 of these 24/7 for about 9 months now, absolutely no issues at all. Easy to take apart and clean, the low setting is low enough that they don't need to oscillate. I keep them at the top of the tent pointed down at an angle, one in each corner.

I don't do any defoliation. I just let the plants grow with all their leaves.

I'm going to trust you on this & give it a try. I'll be getting a T-6 inline as an upgrade to my 4X8 for a little insurance.

I owe you a beer if this works.

BTW, I'll be doing a SCROG this run if that should matter.
 
I've repaired a number of fans by simply taking it apart and putting light machine oil on the shaft and hand turning it until it is freed up. Oil is cheap & it is a pretty easy and quick job.

Ah, flash. Haven't heard that term since I retired from plastics. They could spend a little extra up front and put Si or Teflon right in the plastic but that would cost too much.

I've went through a shed load of oscillating fans but my current one from Argos is still going strong after a year?

I don't have it blowing on my canopy, I've got it aimed under my reflector so it gets deflected down to the pots, bringing air the bottom can chill pot area, a well aimed fan raises the temperature around the pots by 2.5/3c

Just a thought...
Flipping it and pulling it in the top through the canopy and out the bottom could work well/better in cold climates, of course I could be overlooking something?
 
So in my 3x3x6, stopped using the clip ons and use a turbo-aire high velocity 11,000 CFM fan on the floor I bought for gigging (I'm a guitar player and it gets stupid hot on stage most of the time). I bought this over 10 years ago, it's the best fan I've ever seen or used.

So after going through a bunch of other fans that crapped out on me, I finally gave up and just put box fans at the top of the tent looking down. Cheap and hopefully longer lasting. If these break, then I'm going to order 100 lot from China and use them as disposable.
 
Box stores got these 7 inch maybe ones sit it on floor angle it tie it up works great so far it's just made for houses
