ive got 3cakes just finished 4th flush. it got spores all over itself. But my ?? is has any one ever eaten the mycellium? i never thought bout it, because from what ive learned Psilocybe is only developed in the mushroom. and i got a friend who keeps insisting that you can drink it with some cran.berry juice and trip out.. any fact to this??
any1 eat mycellium??

Pretty sure there is psilocin and psilocybin in the mycelium cake, how or if you can take it I dont know. they bruise blue though and I think thats the cybin oxidizing or something, could be wrong

I believe There is a small amount of psilo but not much. I wondered the same thing my first mushie grow, I prepared a tea from a couple brf cake and it tasted awful due to the verm. Little to no effect for me. I have heard people say yay and people say nay.

yeah man if the substrate has verm then its gonna be naaaaaaaaaaaaaaasty.....right up there with the taste of a opiate cold water extraction, and alot more fluid

I have had a lot of cakes that don't fruit. How about running an extraction on a few cakes that don't fruit and put into pills. Anyone know of a method?

allright. thanks for all the responses. sorry to hear that tea had no effect on your mind grow dank? were your cakes already flushed out or was it b4 they fruited. Im thinking of just chopping it up in pieces and let it sit in some kool-aid. I gotta atleast try this one time to see for myself how it is. Besides im almost sure these cakes are spent, cant let anything go to waste the way i think bout it.

put some cranberry juice and shake til the mycellium is mixed well with it. then drink it up....
ive never tried but i heard this 'cranberry juice' method only works with rye substrate.

Did you dunk them again??? my cakes are on there 6th and 5th flush, you could always crumble them and bury them outside & water them, RR said something about doing that with spent cakes and getting a few more flushes outside. never tried it my self but thats what im doing with mine after these flushes. just thought i'd throw that out there

I soaked a quart of colonized wild bird seed in some cranberry juice for an hour or 2 and drained it
Split it with 3 friends and had a mild body buzz. I wouldn't recommend it

it's possible. but without optimal fruiting conditions i doubt the yield would be anything spectacular
