ANYBODY FROM WA??

The wife and i are really considering a change of scenery and wa seems to be the leading option. Soo what do u guys think? I dont much about the place. My dad was stationed in Brimmerton back in the day but i was a toddler. I just want to find a place for my kids to have a good life and be able to go to a park without gettin shot at. Am im thinkin in the right direction?

Why wa any specific reason to go there ? Whenever you end up enjoy your time

Iirc..my aunt and uncle along with some cousins live in and near bremerton...they like it

Well my sisters are there and my parents might be going too. Other than that the main reason is im bout ready to gtfo of cali and oregon seems lame

U r pretty pimp for that. I wanna just jump but thats a pretty big decicion to make for 4 ppl plus lots of ends to tie up cus im sure if i leave here, its for good

Thats where im at now. I fn haaate where i live, its not safe, it takes an hour to get three blocks from anywhere cus traffic sux, its expensive as hell with no real reasoning and a list of other cons. The only reservations are the people id have to leave behind.. and the weather. I really really hate the cold. But the pros are stacking up and its just starting to make sense to leave

I really miss my friends but there is FaceTime Skype and Facebook now
So it's really easy to communicate and keep up with them

I live in Washington. Snohomish County. The traffic is a fuckin nightmare here and all around the Seattle Area , in fact it just got bumped to # 7 worst traffic in the country . I personally don't like it here at all and I have been trying to leave for a while.
The people suck and so does the food. You cant grow outside because of the weather and we are do for a massive earthquake to destoy the entire region within the next 50 years.

omg you have got to be kidding . Eastern Wa is repulsive. I travel the entire state with my job and Eastern Washington is so dry and so ugly. The tricities area is polluted from the Hanford Nuclear Clean up - the Columbia river polluted over there. The entire eastern area has been ravaged with fires and offers like nothing. Spokane I don't travel to but it seems pretty lame as well. One of my coworkers is from Spokane and he is SUCH a fucking asshole.
The only positive side I see in Wa is no state income tax, I cant tell you how overpopulated the Seattle area has gotten these last 3 years and with the legalization of MJ everyone is moving here. The crime has soared, drug problems are out of control. There aren't a whole lot of good jobs either.
actually now that I think about it Vancouver WA is probably the best place in WA. its by the OR border so you can go over to OR and buy all your shit with no sales tax. its pretty down there too. The people are still ass backwards there but its reasonably priced and the traffic aint so bad like it is up there. I think you should move there.

Aren't you around Sac? Sacramento sucks, I feel your pain. So does Stockton. I lived there for five years before moving up to Butte county around 4 yrs ago. Love where I live now, but unfortunately, we can no longer have a big outdoor crop anylonger up around here
California is a big state bro. It's got it all. Maybe just gtfo of Sac?

I tend to agree with Aero re Cali..

Have you considered the central coast of Calif.? It's hard to beat the weather there. People aren't half bad either. The downside is that housing is relatively expensive, but that's Calif.. And big industry not so much. Lot's of people from the valley visit the area, so you probably already are aware of what I'm talking about. But if you're concerned about natural disasters the west coast may all be suspect.

The down side to PNW is the weather. If you suffer from "seasonal depression" and don't like the outdoors the place more than likely won't agree with you. Around Portland area, grey skys can be around for several weeks on end.

Eastern Oregon and Washington winters are clearer but cold. My recommendations are to visit during the winter months to make sure you know what you're getting into. The summers will spoil you.

Having family around can be a good thing for a young family.

Def wanna get out of sac. But ive been in ca my whole life pretty much. Think i just need a drastic change plus home prices sound damn nice up north

Good thoughts. My sister says the weather in spokane is very similar to this area besides a lil snow in the winter but i can deal with that i hope. We are gna drive up there in oct to scout it out.
