maybe i f'ed that one up then???? oops. coulda swore it only said store in cool and dark. i'm bad with directions. lolI assumed refrigeration was pretty much mandatory for keeping spore solution viable

Oh yeah bro. Its a vigorous one for sure.Jack frost has been one of my favorite strains to grow from them. Moves really fast, yields high, and they're pretty potent.
I keep all my syringes In a bag And inside a lunchbox in the drawer, my fridge And have never had any go bad. He'll, maybe I'm the one who's way wrong. Just kinda figured the colder the storage, the less hospitable the conditions for anything good or bad to grow.
Hell ya!! Last time I ran them They came in so thick. There was no space between mushrooms. Solid block.Oh yeah bro. Its a vigorous one for sure.
I’m so done with tubs but here’s a little side by side of some ojf bucket tek loaded into bags and some into Pc’d bulk substrate. Same exact cvg. Same spawn

I like what i’m seeing so far
Somebody scared me early on once i told them i scored some LC of the JF. They said it was a light yielder. So i didn’t blow it up. That advice just slowed me down because this one i got is bad ass. Love it.Hell ya!! Last time I ran them They came in so thick. There was no space between mushrooms. Solid block.
Yes sir! Depends on the culture too. You must've got a better one.Somebody scared me early on once i told them i scored some LC of the JF. They said it was a light yielder. So i didn’t blow it up. That advice just slowed me down because this one i got is bad ass. Love it.
I’m still kinda new to all this but I went all in starting out. I started with LC’s of a bunch of different strains too. Someday soon i’ll take some prints of the strains i got and clone from there. I also backed everything up on slants and master LC jars so should be good for a minute.Yes sir! Depends on the culture too. You must've got a better one.
What I've been doing is taking a syringe of Lc and inoculating a jar of 400 ml of water and a pinch of light malt extract with 1 ml Of LC before I Inoculate my grain jars with it. Then in a week or 2, I have 400 ml of LC. I'm liking doing it this way because I can spawn the grain Jars And see how they do in the tubs, And if they kill it I have a ton of LC To rerun it as much as I want. I like using these lids for the lc jars.I’m still kinda new to all this but I went all in starting out. I started with LC’s of a bunch of different strains too. Nice. I keep my master LC jars in the fridge/s. These are the ones in my house fridge lol. Got a few more out in the shop fridge. Nice. OK ya you know what it is. I gotta get a mini fridge for my jars too, I can't believe how long they lasted. I keep everything in the same room at 75° So in a fridge i'm sure they'd last twice as long.. I started to get contams so I did a reset on all my lc, most jars were 6 months to a year old and made all new grain jar lids which were also getting old. Oh and the pe and APE are slow but worth it, They are about 3x as slow, but about 3x more potent! If you get a chance run Natalensis, They're alot of peoples favorite, Definitely mine. They Colonize super fast and are really resistant to contams, most of all they feel amazing!!! It's a real positive trip and great visuals! You know, it's hard to explain But I definitely recommend experiencing them. I haven't tried pans yet, I Want to try them next But don't know how to do them yet. I'm gonna have to do a little studying.Nice. I keep my master LC jars in the fridge/s. My broth is distilled water, karo, LME and peptone.
Just picked up the PE and APE. Slow as fuck
I use wild birdseed. I get the 40 Lb bags. I Is washing in a strainer and get all the sunflower seeds and corn out so I'm left with milo and millet pretty much, then I soak it over night. Only other thing I've tried was brf.@7L!fTeD24
I have to admit i just fast forwarded though this thread so i’m not really up to speed. But was wondering, what grain you use for the spawn.
Me, i’m doing milo. No no soak no simmer and killing it. Love it. $20 for 50lb bags around here
I actually want to try a 50/50 milo/millet but the Milo is working flawless. Easy as shit. The milo i get is pretty clean. And like i said no soak no simmer. Just add to bag, add 50% water by weight and pc for 2.5 hrs. I’ve lost 1 whole bag out of 6-50lb bags. This is after I got a bigger flow hood and do all the work in front of it. I built a smaller one at first but the bigger one is mo better for sure. I probably shouldn’t even mess with anything else but of course i will lolI use wild birdseed. I get the 40 Lb bags. Ya man Milo's great. Millet colonizes super fast also and gives you a ton of inoculation points because it's really small. Also, you do no soak no simmer. So that would work really well with millet also. I like the mix of the 2. Wild bird seed is really cheap That's pretty much why I buy it And just clean it out so there's only millet and milo left. Most people say you don't even have to do that with it. Because the corn and sunflower seeds colonize just fine. I wash and soak it, then spread it out to dry then into jars then PC. No simmer. I do want to try Rye berries. For substrate CVG seems to be killing it..I actually want to try a 50/50 milo/millet but the Milo is working flawless. Easy as shit. The milo i get is pretty clean. back to babysitting PC’s lol.
I see an autoclave in the future. Especially as I gear up for the medicinal/gourmet mushrooms. That and a Bubba’s barrel.
The only con i feel about the milo the red stuff, is that if you had some bacterial growth, or I guess any other contams going on also it would be kinda hard to spot early on. But i test on agar and my LC jars are clear so shouldn’t have bacterial growth getting in from the LC.Ya man Milo's great.
