I once got lucky and stumbled across some bagweed that had a juicy fruit, very fresh floral taste and amazing cerebral high. I've since smelt smalls hints of this in some schwag that i've come across.. Does this stuff have some real potential if grown into sinsemilla and properly cured? Thanks.

Yes there is still Mexican Land Race Sativas that can be bought in brick form, when grown and cured properly you can make a whole world of difference.

i've grown some pretty sweet plants from bagseed. they have always been a good smoke, the bud size would vary quite a bit from seed to seed. i've got a mystery seed growing right now

I used to get some great mexi. I saved the seeds from what I thought were the best buds. Recently I tried a few and none sprouted, to bad its been years since I saw a brick. Oh well! Used to get pounds upon pounds of shwag and now and then there were bricks that were just as good as alot of peoples so called kind bud. I always wondered if they were pollinated by early males or hermies. If I ever live in the southwest again I plan to look for some of those kick ass bricks again and see.

The thing with brickweed is you just never know what it is. Its compressed for shipping but it could come from anywhere from a feild in mexico or a top of the line medical outdoor grow in cali that was pollenated by a noob neighbor. Once their is seed it ain't worth the money you spent on the nutes so they brick it and ship it . Some of the best stuff I've grown came from a bag of brick.

Most commercial grows even from Mexico dont use LANDRACE SATIVAS. that would be useless, the final product has to be good enough to get pressed into a kilo and get treated bad, and then still have some thc left in the buds by the time it reaches the consumers. MEXICAN Sativa landraces would not be ideal for this. MOST likely todays Commercial grown imported over the border pot, is a hybrid. from all the bagseeds ive had experience with in my life, most bagseeds from regs/mids/corns come from a hybrid of hardy skunks and big budding afghans. they need decent genetics to get even a mildly potent product in to the US and beyond.

i have had only a handful of big Sativa bagseed plants, the rest were wither mostly indica or they were a hybrid. most pf the bagseeds ive used came out to have a very skunky taste/flavor. I have had a few unique ones tho, back in 2004 i had two bagseed plants from some good green regs. both ended up being female, and they had some dutch genetics next to them to compare. my bagseed plants blew away the NL x bigbud i was grwoing next to it, more bud and more thc. the bagseed plant smelled and tasted just like grape nerds. this summer i had two clones from a bagseed regs mother i sold to someone, i kept two clones off it. i put them outside, and the hairs on both plants turned bright pink/purple. when harvest came they were COVERED in resin, all over. they had an earthy, skunky flavor and had a mostly indica effect with a bit of head feeling. it was very good bud, just from random ass regs seeds too. ive had many more bagseed plants i could tell of too... bagseeds are great, just watch out for hermies. any seed has potential... u just have to know how to grow, harvest and cure the bud properly. dont get me wrong tho, feminized seeds are excellent. i make orders fron attitude and nirvana all the time, but i still use bagseeds.... i have two grape ape plants from a bag that had seeds from a dispensary... they are awesome too.

I just got done with a shit brown brick bagseed grow I grew 20 in an aero setup, 10 were males so a good 50/50 ratio, all very different some hybrids and some indica dom, the indica ones kinda came out like swag kinda dark colored and no taste, about 5 or 6 were ok green buds with ok with skunky neutral flavor, and 2 they were the shortest had fruity taste and smell and had about as much thc as name brand strains, big problem with hermies though all but 1 hermed

i grew mexican brown shit weed like 4 times.... and that shit is very hard to cure and keep that fruity smell. ive had the worst luck and could never cure it right no matter what i tried. but then i tried a bagseed from a kush bag that i luckly found and did the same normal cure and it blew my mind. i couldnt believe that i was able to grow something so strong. and ever since i believe genetics is wut is best. if ur gonna grow and do all the work i would get good genetics. oh and by the way this is my mexican bagshit weedIMAG0205.jpgbongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmiliebongsmilie have fun tokin

Quick answer, yes, you can get something very nice from the "schwag" Mexican bagseed and I've seen it done.

Of course if you grow it to maturity, seedlessly, and cure it right, it will be quite a bit better than the schwag it came out of.

The biggest problem is that you don't know exactly what you're going to get. Definitely worth a shot though, especially if you have no other seeds.
