Anybody know why they look like this?

Really...from 40 to 27.....just wow
depends on how tight he keeps the tent sealed up and how low the rh is in the area the tent is in....and how long he's had the door opened now....
not sayin you're not right, but you know...assumptions...ass...you...me...that sort of thing

In my room right now, it's 58%. I step out the door into the basement it's 24%.

Yes, it can drop that quickly. If it's normally between 40 and 60 like he said, and he's had the tent open for an hour or so trying to figure out what's going on, you can bet it drops that quickly. With ease.

Cmon guys...we're not dealing with vacuum sealed grow (if there is such thing) area here. Even the Op admit that he thinks the meter is wrong and never goes up.

And as far as humidity fluctuation is concern...it might move a few percent point but 13-17 points is ridiculous unless of course its vacuum sealed. If it is vacuum sealed what about his air intake then?

You're talking about different areas with different environmental factor. Were talking about a tent and the room where the tent is.

I would say the tent had been open for about 20 min before taking that pic. It’s a little cold outside. It prob dropped a little bit. I didn’t think about that.
The humidifier is in the grow tent.
The lights come back on in 2.5 hours, so I’ll send some pictures once they do.
I have a regulator on my humidifier as well as one on my dehumidifier.
So when the humidity gets so slow, it kicks on and when it gets around 60, dehumidifier kicks on (usually when lights go off)

Avoiding overwatering is one of the reasons I like to use a smaller pot, smaller than the plant. A smaller pot holds less water, so drying occurs relatively quicker than a larger pot.

This is my first grow guys. I haven’t really had any problems until this last week.
Cut me some slack lol.

Yeah I’ve learned ALOT of stuff from the time I started growing til now. Next grow I’m gonna do some things different For sure!

Remember this simple rule: less is more.

About 90% of the shit you read on this or any site is completely unnecessary.

Don't love your plants to death. Let them tell you what they need.

Over watering and over feeding are the two number one causes of death for the new grower.

This is how they look an hour after lights coming back on.
Still a little droopy looking
If they still look droopy tomorrow after the light go off then come back on, what should I do?
Your choices...

1. figure a way to let that hot air out of your tent since you're running 62watts per sq ft or
2. don't turn on your de-humidifier, let the humidity rise at lights off or
3. leave your tent open with humidifier on during lights on

IMO, your air exchange is not fast enough to compensate the heat produced by your HID lighting

This is the reason why I asked where's your tent at, because of the huge fluctuation of your temperature. You're lucky that we're coming to Winter and you don't have to deal with extreme high temperature inside your tent. Something you might have to plan for Summer, maybe switch your HID to 800 watts or switch to LED, anything to reduce heat inside your tent.

With my set-up (LED), I still have a temperature difference within 7F between inside and outside of my grow area. From time to time, I just leave my grow area open during lights on.

As to humidity, temperature effect your humidity, so if you have a wide fluctuation of temperature so does your humidity. I too deal with low humidity (low 30's to low 40's), my plants struggle during the vegetative phase but I'm 6 weeks in of flowering and I'm good with the 30's and 40's humidity.

Hang on there, do what you can do to manage the heat and get through the vegetative phase. If you can pass that, you'll be happy with your flowering phase.

Well... tomorrow would be week 7. Should I just switch to flower? Then wait til they are done? That way I can start my next grow a little sooner? 3 of the plants are about 14inches and the other is a dominant Indica at 10 inches

That's fine. It'll take a few days for them to dry out and start perking back up.

DO NOT switch to flower until they're back in good shape.
Ok. Thank you for that. I was wondering if they should be in good shape before the flip. I’m glad you helped clarify that.
I appreciate EVERYBODY’s opinions and answers. Y’all have been such a huge help during this grow. I can’t thank y’all enough
