Hey guys, aside from marijuana I also like growing hydroponic produce. So I had an idea one day (while smoking) to run a produce hydroponic business on a large scale selling to major produce brokers. I came across a company called crop king which a few of you may be familiar with. I am thinking about getting their business plan on their website for 100 dollars and start to put together the business plan for investors. I thought this would be a cool idea because in hydro we don't have to deal with fungicides, pesticides and herbicides the way we would growing outdoors. S this is where I need a few opinions. Has anyone purchased this business plan cd and if so what did you think about it? Was it what you were looking for?
Alot of people don't know but the drought this year has caused a lot of damage to our crops. Food prices are going to sky rocket next year mark my words.

You are correct about the food prices increasing. Food prices along with all other resources are in higher demand then ever before and with the economy how it is, its fair to say that the price of food will only continue to increase. That also means your costs will increase (water, electricity, resources etc). At the end of the day, Its going to be hard to make a significant profit to satisfy your time and work put in, as well as your investors. Its a HUGE investment to start a hydro farm on a large enough scale to make a profit. and a huge bill to maintain it considering all the big and LITTLE things that are overlooked that go into keeping an efficient large scale hydrofarm going. Farmers dont make good money as it is and going hydroponic only induces more costs. yayaya its organic, no pesticide, yadayada, but at the end of the day no wholesale buyer is going to buy your produce for more then a couple dollars a pound. making the amount of work put in compared to your profit margin unsatisfying. With a masters in business, if you were my friend id advise you to smoke a joint and think of another way to make a million.

Whatever you do, best of luck on your endevours.
