I don't personally, but everyone I know who has one loves it. Also you can have a set temp, but keep an eye on it. Messing may still be required.

Its going to be interesting to see how this works out it is my 2nd grown.....

On my last one the temps were running WAY too hot.....and I live in Southern Cali so all my venting and fans were doing was pumping in hot hair and blowing out hot air.

We expanded our growroom to include a second level and are going to grow 22 plants. I knew there was no way to keep the room cool after adding a 2nd set of lights so we broke down and got a decent portable....7000 btu. We figured between that and the fans running on the lights we should keep things managable

i got a 5000 btu in mine but i run two 4 x 3 rooms for veg and bloom. spend the 80 bucks its going to take to get a temp. switch so u dont have to mess with it. I put mine up high so it drops the cool air down over the tops of the girls. Cant wait to get another one for the other side (room). GL dude

How much did you pay for that? I have seen nice 10kbtu units for about 15-1800.

I got a 10,000 btu unit. I love it. I had it in my room with the plants, but this next time I will put it out in the room I am pulling my air from.. It seems to have a ac in a room that is pulling air into at a higher temp just keeps th ac on. Cooling off the room that cools off my grow room would keep only that cool air flowing in my room and through my cool tubes. Does that make since to all of you? Someone else I know has it is their room with no air coming into the room. Could work.. I like fresh air being brought in on a regular basis except when c02 is on.. What do you guys think?

That's the way to do it I think - on my next set up I am going to put the unit in one of these:

Then suck the air from inside.. I think the AC will work less = more efficiently and do just as good of a job. Also would make it easier gassing I believe.

Right now I have it in the room, but it seems like it fights all the radiant heat - I have to set it to 68F to get the room to stay at 71F.

Nice how big is your grow area? Will that shed give out enough air to keep your room happy? Nice Idea. My cool room is a bathroom all tiled and sealed.. Stays as cold as I want.. Gl

I use a sunbeam 15000 btu portable ac the kind on wells has a timer and thermostat built in and also can humidify or dehumidify. This cost 600 new I got it on ebay for $90 delivered just need and exhaust fan replaced..You just take the exhaust house out the room vi a vent to take the warm air out.It has a built in drip container if dehumidifying

Waffle that 1 good way to get one since free is good lol.Lg makes good stuff. These are perefect you roll it into the room hook the exhaust hose to your out vent set the temp and humidity you want and turn it on and walk away.It kicks on when temp hits its setting and adds or takes out humidity. All i do is plug it in and go away .They are exspensiv though at the store.I got a dual use out of it as I place it close to my res and added a small fan blowing the cool air down towards the res and it helps keep watre temps down.
