Anyone else using The Autopot Systems (Smart-Valve)

So far i have been using a simple 2 pot system, using a 50 gallon resevoir feed with nutrients. Its gravity fed to the smart-valve so i dont have to be on top of the watering as much, but they have been doing real good, growing rapidly under 6 - 24" - 20 watt flourescents with differtent spectrums. Anyone else using these systems? :joint:

Hey man
I just ordered a autopot. How's it working out for ya?

I've seen other grows with it. A guy got 20oz off of 2 plants on another site.

How often do you change out your res?

i like the system it is good however i have had a slight issue with nute burn, and the pots are small, but otherwise great setup. I change the resevoir 1 every week and a half

Hi Guys,

I'm running an 8 pot system with GH nutrients- doing really well at 5 weeks and I'll be experimenting with 150W LED setup.

interesting that you say 1/2 strength nutes, i was having an issue about halfway through with nute burn, next time ill try a little less dosage!

I use these now and use half strength nutes till they get a decent size, then i have it at about 1.4 till i start to flower, then i go up to about 1.7, good results every time

What exactly is the point of an airstone in these things Ive read its better to keep your water circulating.

I use 10 of them, GH nutes, lucas formula, airstone in reservoir to provide oxygen and to keep it mixed. Perpetual SOG style, two 600 watt lights, 2 reservoirs, bla bla bla

Anyway, I love the low maintenance as I am lazy.

PS. AN nutes do not work well with them, too much sediment. It settles in the reservoir, the lines and clogs the smart valve.

i run a 10 pot auto in grow i keep nuets at 0.8 to 1.2 then in bloom 1.8 4x600 hps good results iv found

I am trying my second crop first went well to start with then suffered leaf burn. This time had same prob even though I droped the strength. Think the problem may be as there is no drain for the system the roots eventually release excess nutrient into the tray starting a vicious circle of toxic build up. Take the pots out every 1 to 2 weeks and flush with 1/4 nutrient see if that helps?

hey how did u get on with nutrients in autopot iv had nutrient problems in mine twice now both at around week 2/3 of flower would just like to know how u got on with it
