anyone ever get the shit shocked outta ya from your ballast??

fuck, the other day I was messin around in the garden, and went to pick up the ballast to move it only to receive a gnaaarly shock. I cried out involuntarily, it was a really crazy feeling.. I dont know why it happened, and I unplugged the ballast to move it. the other day i had to see if it would happen again so i jut brushed it with my finger..and nothing. felt a little braver, and actually set my hand on it. so yea, no more problems gettin fuckin electrocuted..cant figure out why that would happen. except maybe one thing..

I have a guinea pig and sometimes i let him out of his cage so he can move a little. i noticed a cord in my closet had been chewed on..i learned it the hard way when i brushed up against it and got a pretty intense tingling goin up my arm..

so took care of that cord and havent had problem sene... anybody else ever have problems like this??
 
No we take care of our ballast and don't allow raw wires to sit out like that
You are lucky you didn't start a fire
 
Or your guinea pig could have died

haha thanks man, yours is great too. i once saw a man holding a sign saying "anything green :)" lol.

and on a trip to new york one man with a sign that said "need money for beer, week and hookers. at least I'm not bullshittin ya". i think ive seen pics of him on google too. maybe someone with just the same sign.. k im done rambling now..

Bahahaha thats awesome. lol funny homeless person moment...so i was walkin out of a parking garage near my house, and this homeless guy "spanges" me everytime i walk by. After asking the usual question to me n my buddy and us tellin him we dont got anything, and then he asks, "oh well you mind givin me a ride home?"

i had no idea what to say lol. hate that fuckin hobo...he took over this cooler old hippie's spot. I def usta give that homeboy a nuggy or two in my day.

...lol n goddamn im ramblin right now.

i got zapped with 240 from an ac unit once. now that hurt. it made my whole body tingle and sent a pain to my chest. it sucked. try not to get zapped lol
 
You coulda been charged up when you touched the ballast (like static electricity)...that could lead to a nice shock. but yeah man glad ur ok and take care of them cables lol.
 
yuuuuup.... you should probably wire it properly and tape it up before you plug it in next time! if the casing is shocking you than the ground is being used and your ballast is draining electricity.
