no problem at all. I had a lot of slow growing plants, ended up it was the temperature. I keep them around 76-83 instead of the old 72-76, and the plants started to crank up on speed. HID works really well for that man. t5's are great, but they are a pain to constantly adjust, and the heat necessarily isn't a bad thing, just keep it from being excessive. The temp is the plants metabolism, higher the temp, faster the growth, that is why when it gets up to 84 to 90 you need to add CO2 in order to keep up with the plants growth.
