Hey everyone how's it going, just wanted to see if anyone happen to grow any triploid plants. I did some research of triploids and some articles saying it's the future of cannabis because it's not susceptible to pollen and therefore it's being dubbed a designer plant also for its characteristics for breeding . ANYWAYS lol I got myself one of these beauties it's an auto chemdog from oasis seeds. Check her out pretty cool:blsmoke: show me yours or if you know anything about this mutationIMG_20220820_134356.jpgIMG_20220820_134339.jpgIMG_20220820_134226.jpgIMG_20220820_134207.jpg:bigjoint::peace:

i hate to be 'that guy' but i believe they are karyotypes of aneuploidy. You have a trisomic karyotype of aneuploidy. Trisomy is the most common form of aneuploids, with one extra chromosome, here you have an extra branching chromosome. To call them triploid we would need to be able to say they have a full extra set of chromosomes. Without further testing, we can only say for certain that they have one extra branching chromosome. I got roasted one day calling mine triploids so i went and tried to find out what the real scoop is.

They are just freaks of nature and once the nodes stagger you can't tell tehm from any other plant. I've pollinated a triploid and it set seed fine. Didn't see any come from the dozen or so seeds I grew from it but the male was three fingered either.

I had one earlier this year and it should be outside 3-4 weeks from chopping now.

First time I got one of those 20 years ago I thought I'd get 50% more bud but was not to be. :(

Lucky13 seeds has triploid in various strains. Check out https://www.lucky13seeds.com/post/mutant-cannabis.

I grew a Pineapple Poundcake this year that a single branch split into 2 branches and ended up with really funky flower. I ended up cutting the super tight branch off early. All other branches were normal.
