checkin it out now- check my thread for a killer update! we have ignition, now time 4 blastoff!
I myself really like the OP's light since it says that the individual panels are slightly tilted for better light coverage. The only other ones I found just doing a quick search were rectangular and were more expensive with otherwise having the same options.
I did do a quick search on the Plasma lights also but only found 1 distributor and that was on eBay and it was over 2k I believe and the bulb life is shorter, about 30k hours vs 50k for the leds. Also with just a little practice soldering you can replace the individual leds when they burn out, the plasma light has to be sent back to the factory and this can only be done 3 times before you have to replace the whole unit.
Just imagine though within another 5 years LED panels should drop in price by quite a bit making them much more viable for larger grows.
Peace out![]()
i love it, im just gathering the best ideas from everywhere that has the theory and proof to back it up, throw it all together in a sleek unit custom built for just one type of grow, led's are not jacks of all like hps, t5s etc. i was thinking more a flatter, squarer panel, help with heat soak, light dispersion and weight savings. hey maybe even smaller horisontal 'bars' for light satureation from underneath too? led's everywhere!! or hows this, an entire GROWBOX lined with the right amount of leds roof and walls, no light fitting to worry about, full saturation from every angle, adjustment knobs built into the cab?
how about these...........http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/225-LED-Red-B...arden_PlantsSeedsBulbs_JN&hash=item2eb1287943
Looks Chinese. I'd avoid.
newworldorder, those progrow 180's, could they be used for 4-6 mini lst'd plants? (max 10 inches) throughtout the whole grow with good results?
