Anyone have input on humidifiers

I don't have much experience with the smaller / portable units, but I have a Hesaire 5300 CFM portable thats in a veg room and it's fucking sweet, I only ever run it on low and it's plugged into an inkbird humidistat. It doesn't have to run much to keep the RH% up when the plants are small.

You connect the float valve to water and it stays topped off. Most of them have analog switches so they auto restart after a power outage (can be run on a controller).

Thing about an evaporative cooler (or swamp cooler) is it's WAY more efficient at getting water into the air, because it's actually trying to cool the air with the water. So you can't beat them when it comes to room sized grows.

My flowering rooms have window mount swampers that work really well. Not only do you get a RH% boost but it aids on cooling when it's humidifying.

This one is my veg unit (it's overkill)

I would never buy a humidifier unless it's for a childs room or you are stuck in a tent without a lung room to run the cooler in. For a grow room I would use an evaporative cooler as my humidifier everytime.

Thanks for the info man, your grow room is a beast I know. I am going to do some more shopping, will check out those units and dig around. Yes I’m just trying to get the most h2o into the air in the most efficient way for my grow and my wallet. Appreciate the help guys. Looks like the warmer weather today is helping, ac running most of the day in the lung room has me in the 40s again. Would like to be able to go as much as 70 if I ever “wanted” to. I need a bit of overkill to be safe, control it from there, not maxed to survive. Regardless I still need 10-20% or more any day up here. Mid 70s Rh mid 20s outside.

Just looking at numbers, that 9 gallon Honeywell evap will do 9 gallons a day, monthly filter, 6 head mister will do over 12 gallons no filter. Not sure what to do really. Checked my old evap fan unit, filters trashed so that’s useless right now.

Well I’m glad I didn’t jump the gun on this too quick, I ended up rigging a couple old ones up to carry me threw the couple dry weeks. Now, I need a de humidifier, things are big now and on 12/12. As far as those go, just need a decent one with a pump so shouldn’t be hard to find. Will revisit the humidifier for the next run, thanks again guys.
