Anyone have/used a Volcano Vaporizer?

It came all packaged nicely with a laminated 8x10 sheet of paper with the easiest instructions ever-you can follow them no matter how high you are! LOL!!! I grabed a bit more bud than I pack in my bong, ground it up, turned on the machine, it took about 4-5 minutes to warm up and the light to go off, indicating it was ready. We had it set at 5 and filled the balloon almost all the up way and went and got comfy on the couch. We both took turns and got 3 really big hits each.

Hubby was BAKED! I was high, gave it 10 minutes and decided to have another go around. I've been smoking the same weed all week so I know the buzz. This time I filled it up just over half and had another 4 hits. Snuggled up in the recliner to watch the news.

About 5 minutes into the news, we looked at each other and decided we were too stoned to pay attention so flipped the boob tube to cartoons!

A good hour later, we had come down enough to communicate again! YES, the vaporizer still gives you cotton mouth and the munchies! Hehe. I decided on a nice big bowl of cold, fresh grapes, yum!

A bit later, around 9, I decided to sample a bit more to ensure a good nights sleep. I did another 3 tokes and slept like the dead!

I think tonight I will turn it up to six and see how that does and increase just a little bit each day until I find the perfect setting.

Although i did read that more sativa dominent strains burn at a higher temp so the temp setting might be strain dependant!

Overall the taste was good, it was a very clean buzz-it did alter the buzz a bit say copared to smoking the same weed in my bong but in a good way. I had no coughing or chest tightness.

Do I think its worth the money, ABSOLUTELY!

sweet me and my girl have been wanting to get one thanks for all the info on the valcano ..... one thing i was just thinking is the smoke in the bag. Since you dont take suck the whole bag in with just one hit does that smoke get stale ?? just staying in the bag ?

The "smoke"in the bag is just a slightly milky color and is actually vapor. It taste smoother and there is virtually no smoke emitted into the room or odor! We have the solid mouth piece (not sure if that makes a difference) and the directions said that the bag will stay fresh for at least 10 minutes and up to 45 minutes. So, once you snap the mouth piece on, you can just tote it around and pass it back and forth. The mouth piece only releases the vapors when its pressed up against your lips.

The Volcano has been a life-changing smoking tool for me, it is worth every penny and more!!! Make sure to regrind that vaped herb and reuse, if you're running in short supply. Alternatively, that vaped herb also makes the meanest cannabutter I've ever had!!

thats what i was just thinking, i heard it dosnt ash a bowl like a bong would. I dont know what that means but i am guessing you still have a bowl left over it just dosnt have any THC on it anymore well not as much as it used to. So you can use it to make butter ??? what if you put it in a bong would you get a hit or is there not enough THC anymore ?? I am trying to save more nugs and clean my lungs out so i believe this is the way to go. Just gotta save that beercan money hahaha

Not sure about putting the vaporizer "ash" into another bowl of bong, not sure what that outcome would be. I was told by the THC foundation that you can make the cannabutter out of it or even it in capsules. Apparently since most of the THC has been vaporizered, you can take the capsules during the day, say at work, and get the relief, for me nausea and pain but not the HIGH. They gave me a handout on how to do this and I do plan to give it a try and will update to let everyone knows how it works.

DID YOURS COME WITH GERMAN TURKEY BAGS? Those are the best.. wa better than the Reynolds oven bags IMO.... try to keep them around. You only need ot change the bag when a) you want a BIGGER bag, or b) you see a yellow resiny build up.

I smoke swag unfortunately. I notice that I have to put two bowls worth of green in my volcano to get the same effect as half a bowl smoked through a pipe. The volcano does feel better on my lungs, but it is annoying that I have to use more weed.

Yeah, I would assume those are German Turkey Bags. I think it even says that you can use the reynolds bags!! The kit came with a box and we ordered an extra box as well as they were only $6 and we thought better to have them..

Can't wait to get outta work and give her another test drive! Wonder if the neighbors would think it funny to see us on the back porch sucking from a balloon? LOL!! Its one of the first really nice days here, weather wise!

as far as the capsules go i just cooked myself up a batch...i didnt use pre-vaped weed though so i dont know what the outcome of that would be.

chek em out. they get me nice and stoned minus the whole smoking part!

How do you make your left over bowls into liqued? and the setup for the capsules. I will do my own search just wondering like how many capsules you take to get you lit and if theres a link on the info you have. That looks crazy somthing my gramps my want to try.

no doubt bro. the capsules work well. the recipe i followed i found from another forum.

the amount of oil it said to use in comparison to bud did not really make sense to me....it seemed like too little oil compared to weed so i kinda used my own judgment.

i used 21 grams of dank nug and about 16 ounces of veggie oil. cooked it up for like 3 hours and then cap'ed it up using what you see above.


so the outcome was pretty good for my first time making them..i was told that if done right 3 of these capsules will put you on your ass all day long! next time i make them i will use less oil. i think you want the mixture to come out almost like a paste and be black as tar. i eat 5-6 of these and have a great body high for about 5-6 hours and all you are really eating is veggie oil mixed with some "fried" buds and THC goodness.

minor side effect - burping and tasting like you ate a fried nugget.

I set mine at 398 degs F. It seems to work good. Grind up the weed with a small coffee grinder, but not to a powder. The first bag is always a little shy on visible vapor on the first bag, on the first bag, I wait a couple seconds after turning on the blower before I put the bag on. I have had mine for several years and I really like it. sometimes the vapor can make you cough like a fiend. Other times it's smooth. the good part is that it doesn't activate the more harmfull aspects of smoking.

I have a disease called Sarcoidosis, mine is chronic and progressive-Sparing the details, it does affect my lungs and while I adore my bong, it was highly suggested by the THC foundation that I go to a vaporizer.

I've got a few more hours at the office before I can go home and try it out. Anyone have any advice to offer or tricks I need to know?

Volcanoes are great, Your going to love it! But personally I prefer the Vapor Daddy style vaporizers, just because you dont get stale smoke, and you can vaporize the weed perfectly with the temperature control and just by taste.

The Deluxe Daddy is a lot cheaper then the volcano too, and no bags to replace all the time.


They do work amazingly though, you will love it! The first time you vaporize its like the first time you got high. Its a different, cleaner high, you dont burn out like when you smoke bongs. I love vaporizers!

And you can use the vaporized herb to make chronic oil!! So dont throw that shit away.


Only tips I can think of for vaporizing is to first let it get Nice and Hot before using it. Wait at least 10 minutes, I would wait even more for an even burn. Grind up the herb real good, but not powdery. Just finely ground. And make sure the herb isnt too sticky. It will vaporize better when its a bit drier. When I get a bag of fresh herb I usually leave the bag open for the first night to dry out the herb a bit and it will vaporize a LOT better.

Anyways, Enjoy the volcano!! Your gonna love Vaporizing.

Thanks everyone!! I AM loving the Valcano and yes, it is a much cleaner high and you are right, you don't really crash at any point, its just like you are not high anymore. I turned it up to just over 6 and that seems like a good temp for me!

IceIceBaby, good job on the capsules! Those would be great for those days when you are in public or out and about and need your medicine!

There is another method to making the capsules but it does NOT produce the high feeling but you still get the medical effects. I have not actually tried it yet but that would be good for me having to go to work. I'd rather do that than take a few vicodins and still be in pain and have nausea!

ive had a volcano for 4 years its so great when u get a lush bit of weed, we use the cooking bags you can get the only problem i ever had is after a while all the connections get bunged up and you get greenin you mouth. its a lovly high and if your getting smoke you have it to high thc burns into vapour b4 smoke appears.
once you have burned the green it tastes like crap if you try n smoke it again. good work for buying one they are a once in a lifetime buy so well worth the cash if u have it. peace bigwity

Alright been checking out gotvape website and just got a nice check from the gov. so i was thinking of getting the valcano ....but i do allot of outdoor stuff so i was thinking of maybe getting one of the portable ones has anyone tried one of those before ??
