Anyone here had experience with Ona Gel?

Hey, Folks..

On my first grow; didn't really think about the odor thing too much when I started.

I have my plants in a 10x10 spare bedroom, 4 weeks old. Whoa, daddy!! It really reeks in there, and it's spilling out into the rest of the house. Most frightening, I swear I can catch a whiff of it outside, too (maybe just a little paranoia there..). :o

So, I'm wondering who has had some experience with Ona Gel? Is it effective? I just have 7 plants and I'm sure at least a couple will go male. I hate to drop $20 a jar for something that doesn't work, and then have to spend more on something that does.

I have used the ONA Gel and it works pretty decent. I wouldn't consider it a replacement for a Carbon Filter, but it does help.

What I have done is taken a 5 gallon bucket and put ONA Crystals in the bottom. Then add water to the bucket and place a fan on top of the bucket to draw air in and drill holes on the side of the bucket to allow the air out.

I believe there are some directions on this site as to how to do it. I'm about 90% sure that I got the directions from here.

I've also created the same bucket with Pinesol and it worked pretty well.

I would really suggest going out and getting yourself a nice carbon filter setup though, nothing has really worked like that for me and from the sounds of it, you're going to need it if your 4 week old plants stink that much already. Mine don't usually start to stink until about 5 or 6 weeks into flowering, then they just STAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANK.

Good luck, and post some pics of your stinky little bitches.

Your best bet is to go and get A filter! I have tried everything, the ona, ozium, candles thr filter is the best and easiest route to go!

Ona Gel is most effective when used in combination with a carbon filter. I personally filter my tent exhaust and the Ona Gel catches the rest. Good luck.
