I'd like to think so. But tough to say. It does seem to be in the media a lot more recently though. And not just in a negative light, but still usually not overly positive.
One day hopefully? I think the way the US have done it is the only way to do it..i.e. almost force legalisation upon the government by using actual democratic strategies (voting). Otherwise the government more or less has to admit wrong and people will try sue for lost income and expect to be freed from prison and have cannabis related convictions quashed..and the fuckers are hardly gonna let that happen lol. America's at the stage I think where it'll almost certainly become semi-legal almost nationwide in the not too distant future. Would you agree? I think once the US government relax the rest of the worlds governments will too.
