Just put 3 new clones of Hawaiian OG in some coco vegging under my 150w hps because I know longer have a t5 and after looking at charts of lumen's decreasing by the inch CFL seems illogical anyone know cheap ways to get some good blue spectrum on your plants with good penetration and low energy cost?

What' up Dapio. Yea I know CFL doesn't seem too great and experiences obviously vary. I'm just getting in to this hobby and so I'm going the easy and available route which is why I use CFL. Right now I'm growing a Northern Lights that I vegged under only 100 watts of 6500k cfl and it worked like a charm. The node spacing was no more than 1" when I put it into flower at about 9" tall. My first grow was the same. I've vegged all my plants in a tiny reflective box, and I think that helped keep the light on the plants. Just my experience. Good luck.

yes walmart sells the t-8 version for $10.99 us. and the sunshine bulbs you can get are great for vegging. i use them for seedlings, and into vegging so as to not overheat them. they dont get hot at all you can get the bulbs within a couple inches. great cheap lights, gotta love walmart. evil as they may be haha.
