monkey- i have, for the most part, been a keen supporter of yours but there's no excuse to talk shit like that to sunni. tbh, it doesn't sound like you respect women, or at least women who have more decision making power than you.

I kind of thought you might have tried opium once over there and was hoping to compare notes. But if you were a pilot, you probably had more common sense to wander into an opium den and risk getting knifed in the back by some anti American maniac. I tried it in a very safe place. Wouldn't do it again, it was a long, long time ago.

I remember a stamp that said Afghanistan on some other black hash a friend had a whole slab of. The so called opiated stuff with the white streaks was in quarter oz's...not enough to see any stamp.

I'm wondering if you were in the Philly area too, as both the late 70's Thai and early 80's Hawaiian (Maui Wowi) were some staples in that area if you knew the right people. The Hawaiian was maybe the best I'd ever had and was paying $300 for a oz back then, which was unheard off price wise. I also remember getting some black opiated hash back then, which was quite nice.

It's my opinion - take it or leave it - that the stuff we grow today is decisively better than what we bought back then at any price. But I still think Thai stick was better. That's why I think there was more in it than cannabis. Just my opinion, I never analyzed it...

but the buzzzzzz...wow! you could only smoke a little tiny bit or you just couldn't function at all.

And I'm not real far from Philly, could get there in a day's driving...so what you had is what we had, I'm sure

Sorry, but I generally disagree. The best of the older stuff from late 70's to early 80's was better than most of the items I see today. Too much of everything today is similar in too many ways. Just my opinion.

Are you growing anything? You don't think what you grow equals what they had in the '70's and early '80's?

Thai Sticks (the real ones from the '70's) may have been because of the opium on them...but the Mex. and Colombian Golds and Reds, and even that Hawaiian they had back then weren't better...it was damn good...but today's seeds come out good...
