Well I am a new member and have recently started growing my own organic medicine instead of buying my meds at the recreational store, since I have no idea what is actually used to grow the store bought maryjane. I am not a volume grower and only have about 9 plants in different phases of veg and flower, all grown from seed originally and 6 of the 9 are clones from the 3 mothers which I am flowering currently.
Nothing I have purchased at the rec store tastes very good to me unless I shell out major bank and even then I have no idea what I am ingesting.
Since being more or less isolated at home and now an empty nester during the pandemic, I started taking 3 of my “pre-sexed”plants, which are almost 3 weeks into flower, outside during the day since it has been quite sunny in Seattle recently and today it was about 78F.
I am using only 3 1000 watt spider farmer leds in my flower room which I dialed down to 75 watts each, which is not a huge power consumption in my opinion. It seems like putting the girls outside under the real sun is what they really like and have noticed them really bulking up with the addition of full spectrum sunlight, ample co2, a breeze etc.....
Last week, after they had been outside in full sun for 4 hours and after the direct sun had passed over the trees and no longer hitting the plants directly, I foliar sprayed the bottom 1/3 which has no flowers on them with diluted skim milk as a supplement and natural pesticide. Later that night, for the first time, I noticed a little aphid like flyer swarming around the leds before I sucked him up with my cordless dyson, Have not seen any since and from what I have read milk foliar spray “not on the flowers” can keep the baddies at bay.
Was just wondering if anyone takes their girls outside during the day for a vacation and if you have noticed any good or bad from doing this such as infestations etc...
Seems a lower electric bill and the plants being in nature might not be a bad thing.
My plants are in vivosun grow bags and sitting in brown tubs which are easy to transport.
The strains are Critical Mass “high CBD” and “Afghan Kush”.
Any thoughts good or bad?
I am a card holder which allows me to grow 15 plants in my house.
Not worried about the neighbors or the Fuzz and my area is pretty private.
Anyways, with most things in my life, like my work, the time goes by so slow, but when I am growing my medicine I forget about the time and truly lose track of all my worries.
Guess I was born with a Green Thumb and am passionate about growing although I have alot to learn.
Thanks Folks
