Chinese Fortune Sticks
Mom always had them around.
It's very enlightening reading them sometimes.
I have been known to draw one and read my fortune if I am undecided on something or before traveling, if the fortune is very bad I will wait.

oh yah, i have a huge fear of the number 13, i can't forget to mention that one..

My dad used to say a woman should never whistle in the house because it was bad luck, and my mum would never have a lilac flower in the house and I'm the same just because they used to do it

Kinda, I'll count 30 strokes when washing my back and the rest of my body in the shower. Or I'll try to finish a task before a commercial is over to prevent something in my head at the time to happen, or will happen, sometimes I cheat and say "yeah I made it" lol.

I have to touch glass when I go over rail road tracks in a car. if I miss it, i get really nervous for the day. been doing that for 20 yrs now.
