Anyone use USB powered microscopes?

I have a 15X magnifying glass. It is a piece of crap. Here is a pic of it.

I want something much more powerful, and see there are USB powered
microscopes available.

Has anyone ever used one of these? Any recommendations?

I was looking at those in our wholesale catalog, Interesting except for using them in my room, I would have to take the laptop in there.
for now, I just stock these

That one is definitely better than the one I have. I'd like to have the USB connection so I could get pics onto my computer.
I don't mind bringing one of my laptops in there, one of them is pretty small and lightweight, just 14". Amazon has some
that seem pretty interesting, this one also records video:

I was thinking of making a time lapsed video from seed to harvest when I start my grow.

This is the one I just purchased after viewing shots that Stonie.Barbie posted using her children's $30 toy microscope. This one cost $50 http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=7028196&CatId=6992.

I first tested it on some dried MJ and it worked fine. I then tried to use it on the actual plant and had a difficult time keeping it steady enough in my hand to take a decent photo. I could see well enough to base my decision to chop on the mostly cloudy, some clear, and a few amber trichomes, just the way I like. One con is that you have to have the microscope hooked up to a computer in order to look and or take photos.

Gotta love Tiger Direct. They always have good deals. I bought my first good computer from them.
With the magnifying lens I have now, the trics are barely visible. It's good for seeing the sex of the plants right away, but that's about it.
I don't mind taking the laptop in there. The tent I plan on getting is big enough to walk right into, 55 X 98 X 78, I could set the laptop on
something while looking at the trics.
