Anyone with experties in Aquaponics?? or IWS flood and drain?

Hi Guys Im about to start my first Aquaponics with a IWS flood and drain,

I have Canna Coco A&B / also House and Gardens A&B Nutrients.

The nutrient I have is for Coco, should I buy a specialist one for Aquaponics? Or will the coco one be ok?
How much Coco A&B should I use per liter for Veg and flower? if the Cana or the H&G brands?

Should I simply use half of the recommended feed chart? Or Quarter?

Does anyone have any top tips for a first starting Aquaponics grow?

Anyone know the best flood and drain system to buy?

Aquaponics or hydroponics?

Aquaponics is using fish to supply the nutrients using the nitrogen cycle of a fish tank waste.

hydroponics is using water and inert media to grow.

Sorry mate, Hydroponics, but just using water and spraying water directly to the roots (bascially no medium)

If both are designed for coco then they have elevated levels of Ca Mg and K to cope with the CEC of coco and how it binds the minerals.


So in short no. You should use a brand designed for recirculating hydroponics.

Canna aqua vega and canna aqua Flores I used to use in a recirculating setup.

I think OP is a little confused because IWS make flood and drain recirculating hydro systems. Lol.

To the OP, I would study a bit more before you jump in. You’re asking about a flood and drain (Hydroponic’s) , along with Aeroponics (Spraying).
