well they are wrong.

still looks like you did good for a first run under "hardcore" led's, just didnt want the op thinking he had to run some additional co2 just to use the sanlights...

The dude on my local growstore (quoting from SANlight brochure I'm sure) said that The EVO 4-120 lights on 4x4 don't need CO2, but if I would go for the 5-120 lights (already overkill for my tent) which according to SANlight are not designed to use in tents but rather commercial grow setups with lots of height and space, would need the usage of dimmers during veg and additional CO2.

Anyways, thanks for the pictures and feedback @tuksu6000 and @grotbags !

under sanlight and kingbrite
Both good light but Chinese product isn’t have good design. All I can say it just a led light. When you grow more you will choose sanlight
perfectly even canopy ilumination...lolz.

why so close?, did you run out of height?.

they are nothing like bleeding edge in terms of efficiency, spectrum or layout. it says they use osram for the reds and seoul semiconductor for the whites, if they are top bin osram they will be good but im not aware of seoul semiconducter making any bleeding edge/efficient whites...

yer the layout is not great, its to concentrated, you want your photons spread more evenly across your canopy...
hmm. Not sure your aware, Seoul makes the die for Samsung 301

i wasnt aware that seoul makes the die for the 301b's, thanks for the info...

i wasnt suggesting that seoul are incapable of making a class leading efficiant diode i have just never been made aware of one, what do the numbers look like for the most efficient white mid power currently offered by seoul?, think its the 3030c?.

@welight, mark while i have your ear, is there any news on new mid powers from cree, nichia ect that that are competative with samsungs new evo line?.
I read somewhere that cree was leaving leds behind to focus on other semiconductor development. Cree leds will still be made but under license or similar.

probably be epistar? think they already have a close relationship, do they not already supply the dies for crees red, deep red and far red?, i know they signed an agreement a few years ago to share each others patents...

I think its San'an or however they spell it but i also heard the epis of cree was from epistar. @welight would prob know. Anyways i would expect much more improvement from cree even though their current midpowers are quite bangforbucky.

Oct 2021 Cree lifted 2835 G class to 230LPW
verbatim from Cree
example 4000k 70cri, 2.67V, 230LPW.
Cree LED Advantages:

Industry’s highest LPW mid-power LED: JB2835B G Class – up to 9% brighter (Oct 2021)
2200K (80 & 90 CRI) available on G, N, R & W Class
Fidelity (95 CRI min) available on N & P Class
Reported Lighting L90 lifetime up to 45.8k hrs
Reported Horticulture Q90 lifetime up to 72.6k hrs

2835.jpg
typically Cree get Red dies from Epistar(power leds).

Hot off the press new 2835 wavelengths coming from Cree
2835colour.jpg
It seems clear Cree is putting a lot into the 2835 line, pivoting towards Hort
Cheers
Mark

Lumatek Attis 300W for 560€ is a bit too expensive, you should find them for cheaper, around 400-450€
In my country i found a Lumatek Attis 300w PRO version for 500€
