Anything good with Runts?

SilkyRide here,...My third season doing what I love and two for two so far. Confidence is high and I've got my act down. I also understand with all my previous conversations and help obtained through this site (which has really brought me up) that every crop has some runts that just sit there like useless little shoots while the others explode. The lights will have to be raised soon to avoid burning the bad boys and the runts will be left behind. I can't even remember what happened to the runts of last year. I think I just let them hang around and they produced a measly yeild. There's 3 of ten that are pissing me off and so before any time limit may pass (and it's been 3 weeks and plants are about 4-5 inches tall under 1000 w HPS light in soil) does anyone have a secret or just plan info I don't know about that can get these bastards up to speed?

I just name them and collect what I can get from them. I usually get about 1 in 50, 3 in 10 seems high. You running clones I take it?

Ok,..well, so it's runt be a runt and just love your runt eah. No clones here even though I'd like to do a little cloning some time. Unless I change my light source my season is limited and so cloning isn't an option. Because I'm in AZ and it's a million degrees here in the summer running this 1000 watt "fuck'n heat lamp" would have my AC take it up the %&*#, I couldn't afford the bill. So it's Holloween through the first week in March and that's it so I grow enough to take me the full year. Ironically my best yeilding strains last year (AK-47) are two of my runts this year. And last year my Northern Lights plant was the runt and it's about the best plant this year. White Widow seems to be a consistently top dog plant. Maybe it's just luck though. Every grow I learn more. I know what to worry about and what's normal. I guess I'll just have to "love my runts". One is Blue Widow which I was anxiously hoping would be a big bad ass. Maybe it will take off. It's doing better but still a ways behind. Thanks,...peace out.
