you really shouldnt be taking that many in 2-3 days. best bet is to go to a known dr. they can have you try different meds and know what is a safe dose to take. be honest with them though. i prefer benzos for sleep. for me i would still sleep great even after being dependent on them and wouldnt really feel it's effects anymore. i wouldnt be tired through the day but when i went to bed i would fall asleep right away. even a very low dose would help me sleep so good. the withdrawals or discontinuation is some of the worst if quitting cold turkey. for me it was days of very little sleep to the point of feeling like your're going insane. then when i did sleep and wake up my whole body would ache and had this real strong anxiety feeling to the point where it was hard to even get out of bed. usually drs wont give benzos long term because of this but it all depends on your medical condition. some ppl get them to take as needed for as long as they want. taking that many pills though in 2-3 days though, a dr is much less likely to give you any controlled substance if they were to know.
when drs treat medical conditions in patients(pain, insomnia, etc) comorbid with drug addiction or abuse, they treat the addiction first because it is usually the cause of the problem. consider all drugs you may use including ambien. they can all effect sleep. alcohol? caffeine? even weed. i know when i quit smoking weed i get insomnia. i suggest you get clean of drugs then treat the problem if it still exists. not suggesting you're an addict but taking that much ambien in a short time is no good.
