Lets ease off gg's nut sac for second guys, hes just finishing up the final trim. We will have results and surely better comparison pics soon enough.

Like any of you lazy stoners could have done a comprison grow this much justice??? Carry on gg.

Pardon if you're referring to my statement , I merely stated it how I see it.
You don't see it? I'm not on anyone's nutsack I'm just offering my opinion and my opinion is there's bias being shown towards the led nugs if it's intentional or not.

I think GG is doing a basic trim n show, he'll prolly show the full layout with equal lighting and weights for the final.

i c the differences as well but the pics are not really supposed to be representative anything, more or less just quelling everyones thirst for bud porn.

Wasnt really singling you out by any means, there have been a lot of nitpickers to come through this thread and just thought i would say something because he couldn't even raise his lights without catching shit.... and now with you dwelling on the pics just felt bad he gets it from all angles seems like. He didnt say those were the pics to take away what the grow was worth. Just snapped a pic while he was trimming, if he needs to bust out the backdrop and lighting every time he takes a pic for you to be happy you will more than likely be disappointed.

Right on. Of course all we're gonna know is what GG tells us and he seems a little biased on the led so.....
Other that than I appreciate his attempt to compare the two forms of lighting.
I run led and hid. Mainly in combo in flower but I've recently bought some warm white panels with 10 watt cree xml2 .
Not sure I'm gonna mix the white led with hps since I'm getting good results with just the warm white cree's.

GG nice nugs! And Im sure you will show them all once finished as you usually dont hide much info.. as for the luxors I think your right Its a smaller price to pay than other endeavours I contemplate lmao. Lets just say I have a buddy he doesnt post on forums but he has a luxor with the 860 cmh and does a bit better than I do per plant just has less of them.

I saw it that way before I posted the pics...and your quick reaction to look at the pics and not read is why I didn't want to post anything till I am done and not in scissor action anymore...those pics were on my phone during trimming(which is still on going). Literally read...VVV
On my last leg of trimming. HERE ARE A COUPLE OF SHOTS FROM DAYS WHILE I WAS TRIMMING...I'LL GET SOME ACTUAL COMPARISON PHOTOS UP WHEN IT'S ALL DONE, BUT I KNOW EVERYONE IS ANTSY SO HERE IS THE PREVIEW.
So chill, read, and watch what I post if you care to know what is going on...otherwise your imagination and or perception is what you are going to believe because it is the only thing you have actually seen.

I don't hide my results. I show what does down good or bad...go back and look at all my other runs...Some of them have a little shock and awe...but the actual weights(which I have always shown) never have been record breaking...and my grows with the at120's were pitiful at some points. But they were posted here for all to judge, comment, love and hate. I have put my time in on here and the actual community around my area. I have been committed to the technology...and it is finally paying off with this new generation of tech. Still not perfect, but it's pretty damn good by any standards. I have DIY in the works and possibly some other things so we will see what my own hands and mind.

Good luck with that onyx...Cap's show down is probably fix to you too right???. hhaha. If you don't like what you see then do/prove it your self...but everyone will start questioning your findings, not just mine...then presto, welcome to the test grow club, haters come all.

On a side note I'm surprised no one decided to bitch that the led pic had 2 nugs and the hps pic just 1.

No way an umbrella will beat a properly designed vert reflector ..... the price reflects that, their cheap. Ran them differently, two feet from the bulb in the middle of a stadium style pot circle for maximum efficiency........still never hit 1gpw

Your trying for 1.75gpw from a fixed 1000w hps?! Wow, that's allot of grams:-P
I meant dry weight units...not g/w. I don't hit 1g/w with hps. Not even .75g/w with this one.
I like how you refer to yourself in the 3rd person here lol, found it kinda funny. Not saying you have an inflated ego or nothing, trust me i know plenty of growers who think they should be winning cups lol. Just gave me a giggle for some reason. Might be time to put the bong down for a sec lol.

Always loved how blue dream has a light green hue to it. Atleast the bags that have made it to me, never grown it sitting on an auto blue dream freebie but kot placing large faith in it knocking my dick in the dirt like the first time i smoked some dream.
Sometimes it helps to get away from myself...I am a little disappointed with myself truthfully. I am no better now than when I was growing in college. Quality and consistency are better, but yield hasn't changed. It's been a while since I ran a 1k so I had higher hopes for this run. The Apache did what I knew based on my last run would do, but I thought secretly that the 1k was going to shit on the AT. G/W goes to AT I already know that. And based on pre final trim weights will be negligible in total yield...like 10-20grams. I can already hear people saying that I sucked with the hps, or held it back or something. Reality is I just couldn't pull the weight. I have an idea of where the weak link was and have already addressed it and then some, so we will see what happens next run.

And just for you I grabbed 2 big head nugs form each bag(LED left HPS right as always)...

probably next round with 10 gals yield will improve. You will be much happier with yourself. I know how it is with the 50/50 coco / soil mix, roots are already growing out the bottom of 5 gals towards the end of veg. There probably wasn't much more room for more roots...

GG. Proof is in the pudding. Those two buds look identical. I would not be able to tell what light was used. Watching this thread and many others has opened my eyes that the led tech for growing has come a long way. I have been using them industrially for years but the cost is actually accessible with the DIY COB out there.

All in all great job man. Looks just like my bd. mmmmm :-)

Their use chips that are 300lm@700ma. That is the best I can get out of them. I know that doesn't actually mean anything, but I believe them because I see the results.

Follow me through this general train of thought...
Photons translate to biomass. Spectrum dictates how that biomass will be distributed/formed, but long story short, more light(photons) translate to more buds(rhetorical, I know)
HPS is roughly 36% efficient(brand new) at producing photons. The LED's that are in panels like AT and a51 are say 38-40%. And when when we get into top bin cxa's are in the <43% range at the currents most are using them....

So at best on paper, led's are only producing maybe 10% more photons/watt. So 900w:1000w. Doesn't seem very cool when looking this way.
Now start to factor in directionality of the source, lenses, , and then spectral efficiencies last. and maybe we are at 600w worth of led's can get the the same/more/enough photons to the canopy as a 1000hps.

I do think that a improved design could get the at600 down closer to 600w even. But hey, it's not my company...I just like what they do more than anyone else. But I have just started to dabble in DIY, so AT watch out...hahah.

Thanks chaz.

Haha...I don't really know what that was supposed to say...I think "1000w replacing" or "actually replacing"....something along those lines. Sometime auto correct helps...other times it's no where close...And most of the time I am high enough that things like that get missed either way.
They use top performing everything. People will always try and pick at something. Apache thanks they have something and telling everything will get hem totally copied...in reality it's just not worth the $$$ for other companies to copy, but AT has a mind of their own.

Results speak louder than anything and my AT's speak pretty loud . Only a matter of time before we regally see at600 pumping out poundage in a bunch of people's gardens.
Haters gonna hate

yep, that and my soil mix are the issues I have fixed from this run. Then lets not forget about co2.

co2 co2 co2........ Ive gone 5 years without it, annnnd big pots at least 7gal and above (fabric) Each year found a way to do better. 2-4 per then 4-6 per (taken into account strains chosen as well) but I managed to get to the consistent range of 5-8 per plant in the last year with 10.5 being the highest so far. But this run with co2 makes me say wtf was i doing all those years without it lmao

Thx GG for the time you put into this. Can't wait for the final analysis.
Say have you used any other LED panels that are comparable to the AT600?
