Apartment inspections

Do any of u fellow riu members live in apartments? Can u tell me what they look for? I have a 2 bed room and im making precautions for when they do inspections. They do it once a year.

i have 8 2x3 flood tables and 4 mother plants in soil. I was thinking of just taking down the tents puting the lights and stuff in boxes and 1 big box over the 4 mothers with blankets on top of the box and boxing up 2 flood trays wrapped in garbage bags with the plants and put into boxes in the middle of the room. Would this be fool proof? Im pretty sure tenants are not dummies but i can say there junk boxes and theyre just kept aside for years

If they're in a room which is being used, put everything into the corner of the room including the tents with the equipment inside.
Cover the tents with dust sheets which are used on construction sites, get a tin of gloss and gloss the door frame. They won't even go into that room as they'll think you're painting in there, as long as you're home that is. Not only that, they'll just think it's a large wardrobe...

Oh yeah, turn off any fans, you can leave the lights on if you are confident.

I've done this several times with a friend who had house inspections, passed them all easy and the room they're in, didn't even get looked at =]

No that wouldnt work because i dont think u can paint in the apartment. It is a 8x8 tent and i have my mums in my closet. I plan on lst'ing them that way i could put a box over them eaiser

How do you handle pest treatments? Apartments may do that once or twice a year...often unannounced, but not always.

Yea that is a huge mistake waiting to happen. They can absolutely walk in your apartment anytime and then your fucked. The inspection is most likely for bugs n shit. Either move ur setup out for a few days or camouflage it too look like stored boxes.

I know. Im not so keen on the idea that they can come in at any time. I was guna change the bedroom locks but it still sketchs me out. Where can u grow where they arent allowed to come in at any time?

Yea but like in emergencys they can just open up the place
Im in the canadas. Quebec. What if i rent out a duplex and get a van to store the flowering plants in when its time to inspect.

il just keep the mothers under a box with blankets over them. Because theyll be lst'd so short.

My buddy grew in an apartment and had a similar issue come up. What he did was rent a uhaul and park it outfront at 3AM the night before. He loaded up the uhaul with all his plants (he had tons) and parked it down the street for the day. Since you are using hydro.. it's going to be much more difficult.. but you really need to get everything out of the apartment or else you risk getting busted. Not worth the risk. Also, growing in an apartment you do not own is a rather stupid idea to begin with. Risk vs. reward man.

Well then where could i grow this? Theyre just in 5" net pots. I could bag up and cover the mom plants but what type of place could i do this? Duplex or house rental..

Ive been on this for so long. Ive got certin a blueprint. Just need to find how where i can do it. Is a duplex a safe place to do it? Il get 24 hrs notice n put flowering plants in the car a day before inspection.Take down tents, cover them up, box up all lights and ducting and fans and cover the carbon filter. And the put a box over my mother plants.

Would that work in a duplex? Reason im saying duplex is because it is cheaper to rent

I don't know where you guys live, but in my state they gotta give you 24 hours notice by law to come in for inspections.
if the landlord even has a hint that your doing dumb shit in there, they can go in for the safety of other tenants. then all it takes is a call to the police station. in the loooong run your case MIGHT get thrown out but in the mean time your gettin raided and your dogs gettin shot and your sittin in jail and payin out the ass and yeaaaaa.....no bueno

So how ur saying the best way to do this only is if u have a house that no1 else is fucking with?
putting the flowerings plants in a car n covering the rest up just totally wont work?

If it doesn't smell cover it up with throw blankets and put a note saying "fragile" on it. MAKE SURE IT DOESN'T SMELL AND THAT YOU ARE HOME!!
my super literally stood 4" away from my girls and didn't know. Not only that but had another person there on the other side of the tent.. I also had some empty boxes laying around so it looked legit. They aren't going to go through your stuff they just want to make sure things are safe and fire alarms work.. They'll be doing that shit all day and are bored with life. Don't worry about it.
