Appetite and weed

I’ve been a medical patient for a couple of months now in the uk, I’ve tried 4 different strains and each seem to impact my appetite differently, DelaHaze suppresses my appetite, sourdough gives me the munchies but I don’t want to gain more weight and I’m wondering how you manage your appetite. I find that most strains effect my blood sugar other than Delahaze and I am not sure what is best or healthy to eat when I keep feeling hungry for my medial condition I have indica for night so I can sleep and get pain relief in the day I either have a sativa or a mixed hybrid both help with pain and mood.

now it’s helped my pain I want to be more active and get in shape and don’t really want to worsen my fitness, it’s been the first time in a long time that I felt pain free enough to walk without having to limp or stop for rests because of the joint pain, in terms of food or snacks I find that flavour helps and so does an energy hit, but I’m not sure about the most healthy way to get an energy hit and some flavour, at the moment I was having cherry tictacs but they are not ideal because of the sugar.

any advice would be much appreciated
Thank you

Hey, good to hear you starting to feel better.
I'm not sure what's your condition is so I'll keep it general.

I'm in no way an expert on nutrition, medicating or exercise, but I do bit of all so I'll give you my thoughts :)

The munchies will steady after awhile if your medicating is chronic.
So especially if you have trouble getting calories/nutrients, make good use of the munchies window.
Also mentioning the calories and nutrients, but like with all eating, prepping goes a long way. So prep your munchies beforehand.
And munchies really don't discriminate againts good fats, veggies or what not.
Avocados, peanuts, berries, your typical "superfoods".

With excercise, start easy, work the progression. Keep enough off days, because the gains are made in the kitchen and in the bunk.
Only the stimulus is done during the day.

Hopefully someone else can help more with strains/terpenes for different purposes.
I just know that THC for pain and CBD for inflammation :)

Have a good one

Yea using more actually curves appetite for me. Cigs too but I worry Ill lose that advantage when quitting. Im already overweight and developing those kinds of problems.

I have people affraid to use for that very reason and thats all I could say. With low tolerance I could just gorge myself every time.

Stuck on meds that do it too but cant live without em I tried. Never again…

I medicate for knee back and leg pain as well as anxiety. I guess my fear is eating too much. I am a grazer I’d happily eat often so I guess my main concern is eating to point that I will gain too much weight, but I am probably going to vape my green for a long time since the pain is chronic and never goes away on its own. If the munchies subsides in time with long time use that would be cool

It effects everyone different but yea I never eat after a dab. Or when smoking weed. I only dab now but yea I get my munchies from meds and when the high wears off.

I see a lot of heavy users that are thin like a potato chip. I used to be one of them.

prep your food so that when the munchies hit, you won't be tempted for high-calorie stuff like chips, pizza, etc. i get munchies bad as well. i at first was indulging in candy, ice cream, and other junk. now i will actually take advantage of the munchies and smoke/vape about 30 mins before a meal time. everything really does just taste better when you're high. and i will get my snacks ready for non-premeal seshes, sliced up cucumber with ranch, carrots and cream cheese, peanut butter on a whole wheat tortilla...it literally all tastes delicious so now i just make sure that my munchie food also has nutrients.

as for blood sugar spikes, taking a small swig of vinegar - apple cider, red wine, white, etc. - before eating something high in sugar will help regulate it better...or at least, that's what a nutritionist told me. i wore a CGM for about six weeks last year and learned a lot. the vinegar trick always worked for me.

Google THCV, appetite. It turns out our endocanabinoid system is heavily involved in regulating weight through stimulation/suppression of appetite. My weight -- and proportionally, my appetite -- fluctuates 20-40 lbs below my "normal" weight, depending upon the mix of THC, THCV, and CBD in the strain I'm consuming.

That’s the first thing I wanted to do was grab anything chips including and ice cream but I don’t want to make a habit of eating lots of the best tasting snacks
