What are the terps like?
The opening odor is very Gasy jet Fuel, a bit lemony, raw meat and garlic, with a deeper nose investigation, a candy like smell is hidden, the smell is more like a garlic spaghetti sauce with a bit of citrus Lysol in it ( to me ) same as the Face Off OG. The buds are very very compact fast and resinous AF, golf ball style OG, Ready in 55 days top chrono. Super Duper Power house genetic. Me so Happy !!

Nobody owned strains in prohibition days but that is changing hella fast currently. People are paying for the dna work on the genes they've been working with. Establishing ownership before the govt corporation boyz come in and try and steal it. The days of the hack job fuckery will eventually come to an end when people start getting sued. ... its coming.

The more I look at the situation, I say load the boat on important genetics now. Open pollinate the fuck out of them and store them correctly. You'll be glad you did one day soon.
And hopefully the person who made Sour d, OG kush, Durban Poison, Chemdog, ect sue these guys who strted there seed business on them. See where does it stop. You cannot own genetics. If somebody crosses another strain to a strain from your seed that he grew out it will not be the same DNA as your original parents you used. It is not a clone. No breeder is better than the next. Most new growers think when breeders talk about working there lines its only about herms bahahaha yeah they will waste time trying to breed leaves out of cannabis it is the same as it is impossible. I get what Doc says that every grower knows everything but really there ignorant as shit spouting what they read or heard vs doing the work and seeing what is. But getting mad that others use your genetics and don't want to grow out 100 seeds of each to select. I have found Amazing plants in 10-20 seeds and used them to make killer hybrids. I will say Fems give you better consistency with finding fire genomes from each seed. It is much harder with regs compared to fems to find what you want. That is why hunting for females and reversing them to other killer phenos will give you amazing results saving time too.

I do agree with this 100%

However I prefer working with regular seeds to find a male; because when you find a good male and female; the end result is better than reversing a female onto a female imo.

I think since Feminized seeds became popular and basically the standard; the TRULY potent 1-hit-wonders have mostly gone extinct and overall quality of Highs has gone way down....but tests show thc #s have gone up and that seems to be all anyone cares about.

Sucks that % number is what drives the rec market. Buddy of mine buys his weed by just asking for the highest thc they have. Nothing else matters to him.

Yup I've got tons of friends like that....terpy weed hitting 20-25% is almost ALWAYS better than the bland tasting stuff listed at 30+%

I remember a dispensary near me having Nepali Queen (Nepali og x space queen) and it was 33% thc....ppl went crazy for it so I bought a qtr of it and imo it was some of the worst terps out there.....I think the qtr I bought me lasted me 2 days and got me high once.....I actually enjoyed some 24% fruity pebbles og more than the Nepali queen.

THC level is very misleading as far as "high". I bought some pure THC distillate to make some gummy bears once. I decided to try a dab of it. It tasted like some kind of lubricating oil and gave me a real uncomfortable feeling.

The old days are gone. The old weed is gone. It was bred out of existence. Once you start mixing everything together, it all starts to taste and look the same. Whenever I look at buying seeds, I tend to go with the ones that are low-yielding because the ones that are high-yielding were likely selected for yield and not for flavor. The low-yielding varieties are typically better tasting -in my experience, anyway. I want strains that were selected for flavor-only and no other reason. It's hard to find those.
