Are 3x 600w lights enough for a 30 plant SOG?

What's the grow area? I know I could grow 30 plants in a 3 x 3 area with a whole lot less than 1800 watts of T5s. But the more room they have to spead out the more light you need.

My grow area is 4' x 7.5'. It's an attic grow, so the top isn't level, It's a vertical triangle.

I'm planning on growing from seed, transplanting into 5 ltr pots, then flipping at 6".

Anybody else feel free to chip in with questions or advice.

That lighting is more than adequate for what you propose. Is your attic well vented? 1800W of lighting could create major heat issues. I struggled with temps in an attic grow, with only a single 600.

More then adequate? That's 10 plants per light.

Tell me about it. I started my last grow in the middle of a heat wave.

It's vented in the sense that I use a fan to extract into a cavity in the wall, which works fine as long as it isn't really hot outside. I've bought another 6" fan to compensate for the extra heat. I don't know yet whether or not that will be enough.

Only time will tell mate. You will be fine in the cooler months, will just be a case of watching temps when the outside temps start picking up. If i were doing a grow with the lighting you have. I would only do 27 plants, 9 per light, just to keep things tidy.
