Looking at dynagro the grow and bloom looks nice, just as the AN. Seems they offer the same shit though. When it comes to boosters and what not. A lot of micros in both dynagro grow and bloom so that's one less bottle per say. Wish companies just get back to the basics. At most I think there should be a 5 part system, one that covers all that we want. Wish I had the money and know how I'd create my own line. Marketing is a bitch. Its a bitch we all get caught up in. Of course we want more, we want better. That's the same thing these companies are thinking, lol I still plan on running 3 clones with the basics of AN, Dynagro, and Jacks. Worse case scenario I spend money. But I'll have plenty of nutes for future grows. And I'll have a better understanding of where I want to spend my money, and possibly help others that are undecided.

I buy it...no doubt. I pay cuz its easy. But Larry Brooke literally skated off in the sunset by playing on our ignorance and more importantly the false cannabis market we all played off of from cannabis blackarket illegality. But times are a changing. Its no longer 3- 4500$ a unit. We didnt mind paying 20 something bucks for simple phos acid a jug. But cost os starting to play into it now. Writing is on the wall now. The very reason old industry vets are cashing out
That's where I'm at. If I want cheaper Nutes I'll get into making them myself/buying base salts, but I'll pay $46 for my set of 3 gallons grow, micro and bloom and be good for a few cycles lol. I realized a long time ago though all the boosters and additive bs is not worth doing. The second I see someone yielding double what I do in my space because of something my interest will be picked. But that's not super likely, tbh I don't know how much more I could fit into the space I have based on area/volume more than I'm limited by light/nutes regimen.

And your not anytime soon going to see a wowzie blow yer lid back game changer from a bottle of nutes or additives. Tbh...the real gam3 changers to me lately has been COB lighting....double ended hps..and sealed room co2 temp and rh levels.

Hydrolysate...humics...and seaweed extracts. Super Concentrated. Thats all it is. I dont know what it costs. Theres a bazillion brands on the hydro store shelves. Nothing revolutionary or special about it. I like greenfuse stimualtors amd Notrozime and ful power. But all the stuff in them stores is all the same. Nothing different with plant base minerals or the bio additives. Its all been tried and what not. They all work of u use them rite.

It does really well in soil as well. I prefer to use Jack's outside simply because I don't like futzing with syringes and shit outside. I put a concentrate solution of Jack's in my hose-end mixer and spray. I'm about to try a siphon mixer and may go back to DG. But they both work very well
would you recommend giving your plants Dyna gro"grow" for vegging and jacks classic bloom for flowering?

Well everyone keeps mentioning that AN is way expensive but I'm comparing AN prices to DynaGro prices and Dynagro is way more expensive. Am i missing something here? 1 quart of AN bloom is $10 and 1 liter of DynaGro $16.5. Liter to quart is almost 1:1, quart being slightly more.

THOUGHTS?

Dilution rate my good man...dilution rate. One gallon of Dynagro Foliage Pro is all you need...start to finish and for most strains and mediums its one....maybe 2 teaspoons per gallon of water. A gallon lasts a long ass time. And its complete. One jug to rule them all. Try that with Advanced. They have a good base a&b. But its a 2 part. And one 2 part quart set for grow...one 2 part quart set for bloom. Not to mention a shit load of bottles for your additives. No....Advanced is WAY more pricey.

And where are you getting one quart of Advanced anything for ten bucks? You need the 2 part sensi a&b or grow bloom amd micro 3 part for a base.

That dosage would roast plants pretty quickly.

DG along with many other foods are a lot more concentrated than AN and the supplements they offer. AN may not be all that expensive on the sticker these days but it's watery and you blow through it quickly.

So its extremely watered down then huh...i see.

On various websites including Amazon they are pretty cheap. They just seem a lot more noob friendly. This is going to sound stupid but having different bottles for different things makes it easier to understand what you are doing to the plants. Also, the artwork on the bottles makes it easier to know what you are doing.

Is it so watered down that the cheap price tag is still unjust?

Yes. If you're comparing it to DG specifically, you'll use 5 to 8 times more liquid food per gallon with AN (1/2 tsp vs 1 TBS/gal).

Thank you.

What exactly would I need from DG to have a complete lineup? I don't want to go the straight forward route, i know i could get great results with just a grow and bloom. I would like to add whatever it takes to maximize quality and yield. But it seems like DG has only 5 products? Grow, bloom, foliage, protekt, mag-pro.

really dont need the protekt if you want to get technical. Silica is not an essential mineral. It makes for thicker leaves and branches though and helps resisit pathogens. If cheetos is just starting out.....i highly suggest skipping all the additives and marketing out there for a few runs and just use Foliage Pro and Protekt though. Its foolproof. Focus on the strains you got....and temps and humidity. And canopy management. The proper lighting. Those factors..once i focused on them instead of nutrient brands....doubled my yields after about 3 or 4 rips of just GROWING and learning a long time ago. I think i know why growers focus on nutrients so much these days....there is alot of marketing behind them. Its something tangible the see in the grow stores. Something they can touch and feel. But in reality....nutrients dont play as big a roll as some would like you to believe. They just need to be in the root zone amd the right time in the right proportions. The plant will do the rest with nutrients. Getting the right strain and managing the grow room environment with optimal temps humidity and co2 along with proper canopy setup in relation to the light you got is the key to maximum quality and quantity.

So in your mind, the more complex the lineup the better your results must be? If that's honestly how you feel then I'd highly recommend any of the 'cannabis specific' snake oil brands as they're designed for people who want to play mad scientist with a dozen bottles. After a year of dialing it in, your results still wont be as good as something more straightforward.

And then if you stick to it and finally start growing with simple base nutrients and really start being a grower and a farmer (cuz in the end...thats all it really is.....just farming) you will feel like a sucker for dumping all your cash into some bullshit marketing scheme. Then you can join the ranks of untold numbers of growers that did the same thing and remember about the early days from veterans that said i told you so. Lol

Hahahaha thanks guys. Alright, fair enough. I'll try to get rid of that mind set. I'll be honest, yes, it seemed fun and more engaging to be playing "mad scientist" lol. Alright then, what Dyna-Gro products should I use? I did a little research and I'm thinking of doing Grow, KLN, and ProTekt from the clones...drop KLN after the first week or two then just Grow and Protekt to finish veg at which point ill drop Grow and use Bloom, Protekt, and Mag all the way up to flush. How does that sound?

Thoughts, suggestions?
