The local gardener's store has 400W HPS bulbs for $92.00. Lowe's has 400W HPS bulbs for $21.99. I suspect the 400W from Lowe's would work just as good or atleast nearly as good as the 400W from the gardener's store at less than one fourth the price.
The 400W from the gardener's store is a Hortilux brand 400W, the one at Lowe's is some no name brand, I forget exactly what.
You guys think it's worth shelling out four times the cost for the Hortilux? Just curious what the community thinks on this one. I'm going to end up getting a second 400W HPS to fill out my grow room and i'm going to try the cheap bulb side by side with the one Hortilux I already have to see if there's a noticeable difference.
