Are Azomite and Volcanite interchangeable...and a couple of other things

Hey all im mixing up a batch of super soil for my grow but i cant seen to find a place that sells azomite, even the hydroponics store that had everything else doesnt have it. I was searching online and i bumped into this...

http://www.garden-ville.com/4429759_36600.htm
Can i use that instead?

Also has anyone used super soil to grow autos? i have 5 AKxLR2 seeds that i want to grow along with my regular plants...ive never grown autos before and ive heared that they are sensetive to overfeeding and im afraid of burning them. Secondly i dont need a mix that lasts 6 months for a 3 month plant so should i used a dilluted version of super soil in the bottom half of my hole?(like 50% super soil 50% FFOF)

lastly... when i was at the hydroponics store i grabbed a couple of extra things that i have a cople of questions about

1)Kelp meal

2)Fox Farm Happy Frog Mycorrhizae and Humic Acid(4-8-5 The Japanese Maple kind)

Is kelp meal available to the plants immidiately or does it have to be in the soil for a while?

I still need to cook the super soil for the big ladies but i want to start the autos now... My question here basically is can i keep it simple and mix some kelp(need advidce on how much) with some FFOF soil and add some of that mycorrhizae and humic acid(1/4 cup per 5gallons of soil as it says in the directions) and come out with some good autos without having to feed them anything but water?

thx to all who take the time to read this and reply, im on my 2nd grow...1st organic grow, im stoked...and i wanna do it right and come out with some bomb organic buds

:fire:

Can anyone at least help me with my azomite problem? It's the only thing keeping me from mixing my super soil....

If volcanite won't cut it ill order the azomite online but obviously that will take time...

can I mix the rest or the ingridients now and mix in the azomite when it arrives? I guess that's a question for sub so I hope he reads this

any input is appreciated guys

2lbz of azomite for $15 on amazon. I asked the same question to Sub the other day. Here is what I got.........Azomite seems to be a really hard concept for people to grasp. Just go look at the Azomite site and read the chemical analysis. That's what you're missing if you don't use Azomite. Greensand isn't Azomite. If you really want to avoid Azomite, try looking at glacial rock dust and/or diatomaceous earth(good silicon source, IMHO). Azomite isn't magic, it's just a good source of trace elements and silicon.

Good luck!

thx i ordered me some azomite on ebay and it said 4-5 days... since its the weekend im guessing that it will be more like 6-7

can i start mixing and cooking my supersoil and just add the azomite when it arrives or do i need to wait and then mix everything at once?

and does anyone have any suggestions on what to mix for my autoflowers? i just got home to 4 AK47xLR2 sprouts :weed:

Azomite is just a source of trace minerals and elements.

There are several other options. A good liquid trace supplement, greensand, glacial rock dust, diatomite, crushed granite (turkey grit), etc. Crushed volcanic rock would likely be in the same boat.

Since there are so many other good things in super soil, you probably won't even need it or notice a difference.

It's just there to round out any possible deficiencies, but with organics, that probably won't even be necessary. Remember that trace elements are only needed in "trace" amounts.
