ive got 2 65 watt halogen lights wondering if they r good for veg and flowering cycle?
Direct and to the point, Air!One word, well ill add another one to get the point across: Hell No
Thanks, I was askin' this in another thread.i have also heard of good results from using halogen lamps... they are not efficient in terms of lumens per watt, however they are cheap... so you can look at it this way halogen lamps work but you will need 10000 watts to produce the same reslults you would get form a 1000 watt HPS. so the answer is yes you can have good results with halogen lighst but it'll cost you a lot in energy
Dude - this thread has been dead 3 1/2 years. By now most know to not use these hot POS except for lighting driveways and shops.Just an observation ! In my local tesco store in the uk they have halogen screw in light bulbs at 72 watts= equiv 93 watts ,total 1130 lumens and the important bit 2700k colour temp. ,now I havnt used them but was wondering if they might be of any use , I know halogens get way hotter than cfls but with the right cooling, cud they? As they are specificly 1130 lumens at 2700k. What are ppls thoughts on this ? I know generally halogens are useless but seein as these are what they are ................?
