Are my buds going to get bigger? PICS!

about 7.5 weeks flowering (since they've shown pistils) 600 watt hps, advanced nutrients, organic soil. trichomes are clear with <25% milky NO AMBER yet. will they get bigger if so about how much? or are they going to stay the same size? I cant tell if the calyxs have swollen yet.

Hi,
Best way to tell is to look at the crystals / tric's and if you want a heady high cut when its mostly milky, if you want a more body high cut when its mostly amber. Your hair's look like most have changed to red so I would say that your close, but your strain and when you flush plays a part also.

What does flushing have to do with when the plant is ready?:?:

i think you have maybe 2 weeks left. you still have new pistols showing up. i normally see the most swelling of the buds in the last couple of weeks. so my answer is yes, they will get bigger. wait til you see some amber trichomes.

Thanks cadeneli that's what I was hoping for.
Another question - I want more of a heady high so should I start flushing now? I dont want to wait too long to flush then end up having to harvest when theyre mostly amber trichs.

i personally choose to wait til one week before harvest. its a personal preference thing. it also depends on what nutes you use. i use fox farm nutes and although they're not 100% organic ive never really noticed much difference between flushing and not flushing. i flush as soon as i see the first amber trichomes and wait until i see the plant showing signs of deficiencies. then i chop. sorry i couldnt be more exact with my answer. btw if this is your first grow, congrats. you did a good job friend.:clap:

Thanks, yeah this is my first grow im excited to chop them, its soo close! so ill be fine if i let them go untill i see a few amber trichs then flush for a week? in that week of flushing about what % of them turn amber? ive been searching for days and cant find if theyll go from 1 amber trich to 50% amber in a week or how long it takes for them to turn.

When the plant is done growing I cut it off at the base and put it into purified water much the same as a person would take a fresh cut flower and place it in a vase of water. I do this for the last twenty-four hours. I remove them just when the lights come on again, prune them and hang them up to dry. Take care that none of the flowers go dry under the sodium because it will leave an undesirable effect. I only cut and plant five plants every two weeks. I keep 25 clones on 12/12hr all the time.

the strains i grow will have an average of 25% amber. what strain are you growing?

thats an interesting technique. does it prolong dry time?

My 12/12hr plants get fertilizer all the time, everyday. I operate F&D so this is why I do it this way. Be careful, potplants can suck up way more water than a fresh cut flower.

Interesting I've never heard of this before... So it flushes out all the chemical taste the same as flushing with water? Have you tried flushing the other way?

I'm growing northern lights from nirvana. I was aiming for 30% amber so that's perfect if it works out like that.

I go to a reverse osmosis machine for water. Home Hardware...some other places, including grocery stores. When I grew in dirt it was outside and no one knew sh*t about anything. Even back then I did it but I used fresh mountain spring water from a sping I dug.
