(sorry for my english)
my babies are yellowish and curving.and one of theese -THE RIGHT ONE- down fall, what is wrong and what am i gonna do that?can i stick something the right one and tie with a rope? and can i use fertilizer for yellowish and curving or overwatering problem ?

in short please heeeelp me guys i'm a very very newbie :cry::cry::cry:

here my infos:

my plants are 3 weeks old from germinating.
theese are nirvana short rider seeds.
theese florucante lamps are 24 w. and i gave them 24 hr lights
i water them every 3-4 days.
i didn't use any fert yet.
i don't have fans.



i am sorry about my english again.

you now need some nuts and a fan!!!! your plants are old enough to have some fert juice now and they are looking for it!!! so please please be nice and give them some juice!!! plus a fan witll help keep your plants strong so you can grow so nice budds!!! i suggest getting on these 2 things very quickly.!! thanks for your time

Plants don't need fans blowing on them at all. all a fan is for is to help with air exchange in the space. He also has not a single red stem... not even a hint that I can see... his leaves are nice and green, he's under weak CFL lights and is watering every 3 days.

Although at the right time to start feeding now i don't think that an actual lack of nutrients is the problem here, but rather an over watering problem.
 
first off you dont blow the fan directly on to your plants, you just need to make sure there is movement going on in your grow room.you do need a fan to simulate the wind, it helps strengthen your plant so when you do finally bud your plants, they are strong enough to hold the buds. not to mention if your plants are not strong enough during vegging your plant will literally fall down to its side because it cannot hold the weight of itself!!!

Yeah and they will stand back up again... i do it all the time. Also to stand back up they need to build a stronger stem naturally. No need for a fan simulating wind at all. Look at these two pix, two seedlings grown with no fans. Notice the tall one and the kink in the lower stem. that is from where she fell over.

If the lights were close enough this wouldn't happen at all, and the plants would grow nice and sturdy right from the outset. no need for wind.

but having a nice breeze gently bending the stems while maturing will stop having corkscrewy long stems or ones with kinks!

LMFAO when those plants start growing buds that corkscrew is probably gonna cause you problems. You should try to move the air in your room otherwise your plants stems will not strengthen enough for the weight that you want them to put on.

I have attached a pic of some strong plants that have had an oscilating fan blowing on them their whole life.


DONT WATER SO MUCH WAIT FOR THE SOIL TO DRY OUT A LITTE BEFORE WATERING NEXT. IF THE YELLOWING CONTINUES THEN YOU WILL NEED TO ADD NUTES.

having the lights close enough would stop that too. no need for fans.

I've grown so many seedlings now i'm not bothered about them... i only grow them so i can take clones for my SoG,and i'm a strain whore. growing right now, 12 strains and i'm going to be adding, 5 or 6 more later today.

I let seedlings fall over and they stand back up again without me having to move the lights closer or add a fan. they gain strength in the stems on their own.

Yeah i'm just playing around with the corkscrew... i did that deliberately, it isn't natural. Well they've gone into force flower now so we'll see what happens... although i already know what will happen i suppose it may be of interest to others too.

Plants strengthen the stems on their own, they don't need the wind to tell them to do it. If you believe your strong stems are down to an oscillating fan you've really got a lot to learn.

Its not about me learning. I am trying to recreate nature in my closet. When does nature stop blowing wind?

You don't need to mimic nature in your closet, you need to create an ideal growing environment. if you want to mimic nature then why not let in all the insects too? Nature has to provide for every living thing on this planet, to do that there has to be compromises. when we grow a plant, we don't need to compromise on anything... our only concern is the well being of our plants.

I believe in trying to recreate nature in my closet with compromises. Ofcourse im not going to let insects into my room but i strongly believe that without an oscilating fan you will end up with some stagnant air in your room which isnt good. With oscilating fans it helps to stop things like PM and it also helps the stem to become stronger. An oscilating fan doesnt have an a great deal to do with air exchanges other than circulating the air you are bringing in.

Let me guess you're going to tell me now that you dont need to worry about air exchanges either?

Im not going to get into a heated debate about this one.

I personally believe in oscilating fans being a good thing in your environment

my argument isn't about whether an oscillating fan is needed for circulation purposes. My argument is that it isn't needed for stem strengthening. You're confusing two different things.
 
So what you are saying is that you dont need an oscilating fan to strengthen your stems but you do need one to keep air moving.

Dude thats why you end up with stronger stems because of it.

You only have to google why it works to find that it does.

Even high times talks about strengthening your stems using an oscilating fan.

Me thinks its you that needs to learn.
