In all seriousness though you did the best with what you had. I wouldn't even smoke a couple of those buds that don't have the trichomes personally, but that one is straight frosted and looks like it would fit nice in a swisher player!

thanks a lot it was my first grow so i knew there was gunna be some problems but FUCK IT im just really proud i got thru it and got a product at the end of the day im looking forward to future grows to do better!Looks good, and your plants are ok too

if youre not planning on breeding/pollen chucking,then get fems.but fems or regs are fine.just do some research on whatever strain you want to buy first.
you can get dank fems,mediocre fems and shit fems.same applies to regs.

you wont know it worth it until you grow it. but my experience has been mostly good with bag seeds. a few years ago i bought a brick of mexican dirt weed to make edibles out of and surprisingly there were very few seeds, probably 10-15 in all. and even that shit weed grew some nice buds. if you find seeds in your bag of og kush or any good weed i say to grow em but keep a eye on em in case it herms but i havent had hermie issues either with bag seeds.

From my own exp., so far every seed I have grown from bag, (I'm assuming that's what you mean 'reggie') has been fem., except for one that I had really mistreated, and even then it only gave me a few seeds that fell out before I even got the buds in to dry.
The quality has been good, as good as, if not better than the smoke the seeds came from.
(If you smoke some bunk shit, you wouldn't save seeds, right?)

i save every seed i find even if it comes from shit weed. i save so many seeds that my brothers even know to save any seeds they find for me and ive taught them how to tell a good seed that will germ from a premature seed that wont do anything lol. ive got a seed collecting problem.
the way i see it regarding genetics is that its a crap shoot, even with bunk weed there might be something good in the seeds. just like sometimes two ugly people can make a good looking kid, or two dumb parents making a smart kid. anything can happen.
and i think the OP is asking about seeds found in mid grade weed. not regular vs feminized seeds. like the lyric from lil wayne 'I got a big bouquet of Mary Jane's flowers. That kush, we don't smoke that Reggie Bush' meaning he only smokes top shelf.

well i wasnt talking about seeds from mid, just some good ol stickie buds from mexico i guess, just schwag but my schwag that i got my seeds from was pretty good smoke, it was bricked but not grinded and compressed like that bullshit powdery weed that some people try to sell off for 60 an oz. it was all in buds still just all compressed together, the seeds looked mature and in good shape so i decided to plant them. if you check out the link in my sig it will take you to my journal. fyi it is my first grow, they seem to be doing well. they are from just a bagseed of good bud. no sinsemilla tho but had good quality

I've never heard of mexican weed being ground up then compressed. I bet it crumbles because of how dried out it can get after going through so many hands and storage facilities.
I grew some brick bud seeds from Arizona. As one person said, I have had almost all females from brick bud. Most mexican farmers pull males when they are growing on their own land, which causes most seeds to be self polinated from stressfull conditions like heat, wind, and violent monsoonal rains. And they would be missing a male genes. When a female plant self pollinates, the seed will only have the female chromosome. Field weed or unattended gurilla grows tend to produce seeds that have both male and female genes because the crop can go unattended which will allow a male plant to fully pollinate other female plants. So this is why you have some mexican weed that gives 50/50 seeds or whatever male female ratio and some that seem to almost be feminized. (This is my theory based on what I have read and seeds I have grown).
Back to growing these "regs". I don't like them. The seeds produce vigorus awesome plants that are a beauty to watch but when they flower they don't have the trichome production that has been bread into most higher dollar strains. Notice how there are literally no "breeders" in Mexico. There are landrace strains which can also be iffy based on our new standards of what top shelf is. Also, I noticed the smell of a flowering mexican bagseed plant is almost exactly what you get after a good dry and cure.
The only thing you will get out of this is medicore smoke (which is not a bad thing) but you will surely get experience. Then again, these plants are very pest resistant and also drought. You will learn how it grows and this helps understand the plant, but fighting pests and disease..... you won't learn much yet with mexican beans.

the stinkiest plant i ever grew was from mexi brick weed , it smelled of cat piss and menthol . the catpiss went away during cure but taste was like a newport ofter a month . straight to the head it was . if growing outside ull need to tie her down they get BIGG in the ground ..

I feel ya. I kept on trying to figure out where I could buy this "bagseed" everybody kept talking about. I finally found a few beans in a bud.. I would have loved to have had those a few months ago but they are literally the first beans I've seen since high school or so.
