Are the marijuana laws fair where you live? (multiple choice series)

To be quite honest bongspit, I am shocked that canada went ahead with our new laws considering how the american gov't feels about it.
Our gov't is generally too passive and like to keep the peace and don't usually go against the grain, so I am surprised.
Especially with the amercian gov't being so strict so I am impressed that canada took a stand.

But one cool thing about it being illegal is that it makes it so expensive!
Did you guys know that one pound of good weed is worth 6400. Only 1 lb, I could grow that on one plant in 3 months. I love it

I made this thread to just get an idea of where most people stand within the marijuana laws and what the penalty would be if busted.
I'm not surprised that most of the forum here are 'hush, hush' about what they are doing with over 65% of us risking so much. Over 65% of us would be jailed, serve probabtion or do both!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not really sure where the laws are going or should be headed but I do know that they need to change.

It just pisses me off that I am considered a common criminal along with rapist and thieves. Its totally insane!!!

Yes blaze this is probably true. I don't doubt it but there is no hope in h*ll I am gonna risk mine or hubby's life just to get financially ahead. Not a chance. Perhaps that is why i have such a strong opnion about this. Not sure!
And also not that it has never entered my mind.

I just feel sorry for people that don't grow their own. Paying 100 dollars for a quarter ounce of bud is crazy. It's a fricking plant!!! Could you imagine ppl selling tomatoes $400 for the ounce or lettuce. It would be the same thing, they're all just plants. How can a 'pothead' realize the demand for weed is created by its illegality but the government can't?

Oh and if your worried about going to jail just read this. It's from that cop forum.

It Depends. I'm supposed to be on until March '09 but I can get off March, 1st of next year if I'm allowed to get early termination(which I think I have a good chance of getting). Yeaaa, just three more months to go

Yeah that's what I was told. Even my lawyer said they were going to suspend my license when I went to court. But, they never did! I guess I slipped thru the cracks, somehow
