Are these doomed? Is it an infestation?

Hi all, I have these 3 seedlings that were coming along well 2 week from seed. Been down for their daily feed(coco 1/4 strength nutes)today and noticed this orange fungus type of shit on the top of the coco.... bad on 1 blobs in the other 2... they all are looking sickly I think? And the one with all brown spots… what’s all that about? I thought it was water damage from been in the propagator early doors but that seems to be spreading and growing with the plant aswell??

ive literally noticed this over night? They seemed lush and green yesterday morning? they are currently in my basement in a custom made box so are pretty open to the elements down there...

im taking my drying bud out of my tent today so was gonna be putting them in there but I’m worried ive doomed em?

That looks like moss on top of the coco. Not an issue in itself.

I would say fertigate with stronger nutes and then let them dry out... that looks too wet to me.

I had literally just watered before the pics? Our lass said it looked like moss too...

So do you think Im good to get them in the tent today out of the damp basement and let them dry out? Hopefully they’ll pull through?

Hope that works, they seem to of been doing so well...>:(

First, you haven't buried the Jiffy pellets, you need to fill up your pots with more coco to fully cover the mesh of the pellets.
Exposed mesh wicks the moisture out of the roots.

Second, moss isn't a problem as far as I know, you still need to water and feed coco every day. Bury that shit in coco, or pull it off.
 
Youve got major over watering issues and or humidity issues.

For some reason everyone thinks you need crazy high humidity for small plants and you dont. Once you get past the first week of seedling stage, they will grow fine even down to 20% and lower.

The exposed mesh is not going to pull moisture out of the roots. And is not his issue here. To much moisture is.

Yeah scrape the moss off and then microwave some more coco and put it on top.

You should be feeding almost full strength now... this is the main reason they look sick
 
Are you ph-ing your water? Checking the PH after you mix your nutes? Coco requires you to handle these things. It looks like you're running acidic and locked your potassium out. The moss/algae is from the moisture in the basement. Coco is supposed to dry fairly fast. It looks like yours isn't. If you have a dehumidifier, that would probably work wonders down there. I would def try to get rid of the moss whether people say it's ok or not. It def isn't beneficial and most certainly creates another layer of ecosystem that introduces more organisms. Again, maybe not harmful. But I feel it's not worth the risk.

Edit: Also, it could just be a plain Potassium deficiency. But -K is def what she's saying. The moss is def the humidity.

I know I’m new to the forums but I’m not new to growing. I see bad advice on here constantly and couldn’t take it anymore. You can’t overwater coco. It’s in the nature of it that it holds oxygen even at full saturation. Did you buffer your coco w cal mag prior to running these? If not you’re going to need to feed around 200ppm coco with your next feeding and give them some food. Coco has no nutritional value you have to feed every time. Coco has a very low CEC and the nutrients will flush if you use pure water or even low nutes. Bump up to at least 800-900 ppm and water them til the nutes run out the bottom. They are underfed. And if you didn’t buffer w cal mag, the coco is negatively charged and the cation exchange sites pull both potassium and calcium out of your soil solution. You’re basically feeding your substrate not your plant. Feed them don’t worry about drying it out. Seriously, go right now and feed them at full or close to full strength. Flood them. It’s what they need. I grow in coco regularly and water every 6 hours during lights on to probably 20-30% runoff. They grow like trees. I got stalks the size of my girls wrists on some. So trust me. While I generally agree with your post, would point out my plants thrive on 250ppm in coco.
One of the bits of bad advice constantly given in these forums are to overfeed massively.
My grow problems are usually my plants growing too big.
 
I run 1100-1200. I was trying to undershoot for him. Less than 500 my plants start yellowing up. But different plants, different needs. Anything I put on here will be from experience not from what I’ve heard. I appreciate the conversation though. Definitely one size does not fit all. I do think this will help his situation though. Is your medium in fact coco?
What pH are you running?
What are you feeding and how often?
Do your pots have adequate drainage?
What are you doing for Ca and Mg?

H All, thank for the advice… hectic few days so il try to give an update and answer your questions, I may have a couple more of my own aswell.

Canna coco plus - No Calmag, as this pre buffered
AN ph perfect micro, grow & bloom - full strength, still always check ph(always 6.2)because it’s only ma 2nd grow.
70%rh 19-22deg - can be altered but led to believe that’s ideal at this stage? Been in this environment for 2 days

as originally stated, they were in my damp basement in a homemade box open to elements awaiting my tent. I have now transplanted to tent and final pot.

when transplanting i noticed the roots were thickly wound around the bottom of the pot. Could this of attributed to my issues? The leafs seem to be getting worse, even the new growth seems to be going same way?

Or will the change of environment and pots help?

or are they doomed?
