Are these ready to cut down???

Having read a few articles about knowing when to harvest, and as I am yet to procure a magnifying glass, I am using just my eyes and politely request some of you aid me!!

The hairs coming out the buds seem to be turning red/amber, the weather is suddenly less sunshine more cloud, wind and rain, and I gather that a drenching is not useful for such plants???

Should I begin the harvest??





From what I understand, I should cut them (if now is the time) close to the soil. Trim off all leaves, leaving just the stems with bud. Hang them upside down...for how long though??? Then after a while, cut the buds off the stems, place them in a glass jar which I open up twice daily...to cure...for how long though???

any help is greatly appreciated.

Dont cut them ! For 6 weeks at least.

any wider shots? id say wait ten weeks plus before u think about harvesting. make sure those buds are solid man. let them swell up.

Those buds look like their just starting growing real product , about 5-8 weeks left, upload some more pics for more advanced answer. You should hangdry them untill stem snaps, curing for atleast 2 weeks. And one more suggestion to you is before cutting you leave it 4-5 days without light for maximing trichomes on buds.

That looks heavy sativa leaning genetics judging by the bud leaves. It could take a while to finish flowering.

They definitely need more time to fill out and finish. You should snap a shot every week and post it if you're unsure when it's done. You're at least a few weeks from harvest. Can we get a shot of the entire plant?

Good spot on the sativa...I can't recall the strain presently but were mainly sativa heavy. I have grown the auto flowering seeds with little attention, just Aussie sunshine and water, also a few pellets of fertilizer in the pots. I guess in growing eager, for the season is changing here in Melbourne, less sun, more rain and cloud, still warmish though.

I am unsure which of the two strains I germinated and kept the three best plants...I started with Nevilles Skunk and Early Queen X Afghan Haze seeds. So the three ladies are from that stock.

Looks like they have 2 months left...

Its true enough, that I help with another weed forum, but I am here to seek assistance, for it was by far the biggest, most vibrant forum here other than GC which I don't appreciate...if it seems a a bother, or spamming of some kind, I will switch it off. The name is simply the first thing that came to mind, but again, if I am breaking any rules, I will happily change it.

Its advice I am here for, not advertising.

So back to the thread...I have ordered a 60X magnifying glass to peek a the trichomes, but the general consensus is that the plants have a fair way to go. Whilst the buds on the big plant look lively, they remain rather small. Should I be adding any nutrients other than the slow release basic pellets which have been in the top of the soil for the last two months...(18.4% nitrogen, 1.4% phosporous, 9.9% potassium, 12.2% sulphur, 1.6% calcium, 3.3% magnesium, 1.4% iron). Other than which I just add water when the soil looks dry...

As mentioned before, the rain is a concern, but half of what I have read suggests its not a problem as long as a dry period follows the wet, half has said it will wash away goodness???

Also...the large male is 6 metres around a corner from the females. Should I just cull it?? As it has no use whatsoever????

I started the autoflowering seeds in wet paper towels in early december, planted 6 of them in small pots and had them under a CFL, probably too weak, for a month, then decided to stick them outside in the melbourne summer. Since then they have grown and then the buds started appearing a month or so back...Since one of them is looking less than jolly with a fair few yellow leaves that i keep picking off, I figured it might be time to harvest them. So...that is how I have got this far. I suspect I should have done many other things to expedite the growth, and now the season is changing, rain is coming, less sunshine...but there are buds! And I am keen to give them the best chance possible of reaching their perhaps lessened through my own haphazard approach to dr greenthumb capacity.

As I feared, we have had rain almost daily since late last week. Should I be keeping them under cover???

My 60x magnifying glass should arrive shortly.

I hope with that plant you get enough for one joint.
