Are these ready?

Currently growing first time and not sure if these are ready to harvest?

The strain is L.A Confidential and guides i've read say it takes 6-8 weeks in flower - i'm currently 7.5 weeks into flower.

From what i've read, i'm looking for the pistil hairs to change to orange and curl, but also the trichomes to become milky/amber.

I'm a little confused as its about 20% orange pistils at the moment, but when i look at the trichomes, i can see some amber and milkiness. Which is the better indicator?

If not ready - how long do you think based on the pictures?

Or longer! Things are going to swell the size of your head if you give it time. Just listen to thr above and you won't regret it! Don't worry about trichs yet, worry about seeing less white hairs, and more orange hairs disappearing back into the calyx.

About a month.
Where did you get that? That’s one of my top strains I’ve grown. But I was a kid. I’ve been looking for real la con with those huge softball tops and hues of purple with that bubba and skunk smell. Beautiful plant man. Keep us posted. I’d love to see her finish!!

Thanks all - appreciate your expertise!! will be patient with it

I got it from dc collectibles (aus) - my first grow so no idea if legit, but is definitely starting to smell skunky. Will do - hopefully i can bring her home!!

Some updated pictures - 3 weeks since posting. Still feel like they're growing and every day or 2 i check there's another chunk sprouting white pistils.

Is it recommended to chop each cola all at once or can you take them at different times?

Dense looking nugs. Look to be getting close.

The answer is...do what ever you want. What ever works for you.

If you are drying in the same tent as growing...then you got no option.

If you got a place to dry the world is your playground do what ever you want.

The top will finish first. You can take the tops. Wait 2 more weeks for the mids and lowers.

Looks really nice man, solid dense buds. I would say atleast another week or 2. Alot of white still coming. What week are you on and what strain is that?

Thanks mate - it's (supposedly) LA Confidential, guides i've seen say 6-8 weeks flowering period and I'm currently at 10.5 weeks.

I did have some Cal/Mag issues early flowering and also light burned them a bit, so might be why its taking longer.

No from reading and researching in this site, 95 percent of people say to not follow breeders harvest schedule. You may run into some strains that yes finish on that timeliness. But you just never know!

Kind of an off topic question about this: Does anybody know when do breeders start to count their weeks? Because I see a lot of people that is '2 weeks away' or so by the day breeders says and they started counting on first day of flip. But plants take a few weeks in actually showing flowering signs once the light schedule changed (In my experience is usually 2 to 3 weeks). Could it be that breeders count their weeks starting from the moment they see evident flowering signs?

Is your environment exact same as said breeder?

Are you using the exact lights as said breeder?

Are you using exact medium as said breeder?

How about feeding, are you feeding the same stuff as said breeder?

Is the breeder using co2? Are you using co2?

etc………
