Are they growing slowly?

hey everyone this is my first indoor grow, and my plants are about 2 1/2 - 3 inches tall after sprouting 8 days ago under two 26watt cfls. I dont have pictures at the moment, but could anyone tell me if this is normal? They all look healthy but just seem to be making slow progress...do they start taking off in the next couple weeks ? any thoughts are appreciated thanks

what strain is it? is it a bag seed ? all strains have different progress. but u need more lights 2 will grow them but more light is better with cfls.

they are 4 fem. northern lights, and yea i am going to get more lights i just figured its enough for now, i know all the basics so im not making any dumb mistakes, was just wondering if this is normal growth progress... 2 nodes so far 3rd starting to form
