First define the term addiction. Addiction is a negative connotation because the majority of society associates it with heroin, crank, etc. Cannabis is addictive in the sense that any pleasureable activity is worth repeating. I drink pop almost everyday as well and many people regularly consume caffine without so much as a second thought. How often do you rub one out in the shower? It is in the human nature to partake in activities which alter the conscience in any manner be it sex or exercise, the distinction lies with societies idea of what is appropriate. Personally I hate the concept of any entity trying to force me to conform to their ideals of any sort. I feel intense frustration when I am forced to do this on account of someone else. Responsibility is another matter that can only be addressed personally. I am not a man of wealth and I have to allocate my money as such. I love weed, but I love not getting evicted a lot more. Until I get my next paycheck I have to use all my money for food, rent and bus fare, but this is my life. When I get paid and have extra money, the first thing I'll do is pick up an eigth of some grade A bud. I have zero intention of quitting Cannabis for life, that is plain stupid. A crack addict on the other hand would probably spend his last bottom dollar to get his next fix. Individuals in the depths of serious addiction would have difficulty maintaining other priorities. Cannabis is a wonderful plant and allows me to view life from a different angle. If you have the self restraint to make sure you meet your responsibilites and obligations first, what does it even matter?
Wonderful post!
