Are you cooking for Thanksgiving?

Yeah it's just us 3 and my little brother for Thanksgiving. I do a turkey, small potatoes with a cheese sauce, broccoli , some rolls and probably some green beans. It's always way more than we need. But give most of the leftovers to my bro and he eats for like a week.
This is my meal plan for the week after Thanksgiving. My sister in law tosses all the leftovers after dinner. They rent an air bnb to host. That way there is no clutter and no guilt on keeping or throwing stuff away. I just stand there and go "I'll take that" "and that" until I question myself why on earth I would need that much food for the week. Hahaha

I'm planning to have a good breakfast and later fixing a turkey sandwich with cranberry sauce. Simple is great.
The 2-course dessert is the important part, NY cheesecake with fresh strawberries and then later, flourless Chocolate Truffle Torte Cake with fresh raspberries. I quit drinking years ago but I'll probably have a shot of Evan Williams honey whiskey as well. Gotta pace all that sugar though. That will be a shock to this old body.

I actually made a turkey dinner a few months ago, because we were tired of waiting till thanksgiving.

Last month I cooked a dinner for 10 with jumbo king crab legs and prime filet mingon. This month it’s turkey. Next month I’ll do a prime rib roast for Christmas/new years dinner. And more king crab legs…lol

Oh hell yeah dude making me hungry.
So far I’ve smoked a brisket, pork loin and a tri tip on the traeger. I’m prob gonna go out and pick up a rib roast to do up tomorrow or the next day. I’m contemplating doing up a turkey before turkey day just to get it timed right. I have zero idea how long it will take being all spatchCOCKed up and shit.

These particular ones we got at Sams Club, they were on sale for $20 a pound. Although after purchasing, I noticed they do have salt added. So I would probably try to get them somewhere else now

Although, they are nice and big, and pre-cut, so easy to peel. I dunno. Pros and cons
Holler if you hear of another king $20’s a pound sale
I’m never under $40
